The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hinds throws a looping overhand right but Sawyer ducks down to avoid it. Sawyer takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Sawyer lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hinds at a distance.
Sawyer fails with a takedown attempt. Sawyer throws an off balance right hand
and Hinds cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Sawyer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hinds avoids a kick to the body.
Hinds throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Hinds connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Sawyer darts in trying to clinch and Sawyer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Sawyer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sawyer moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Hinds throws a body kick that misses. Sawyer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hinds was covering up waiting for the punch and Sawyer finishes the takedown easily into guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Hinds tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sawyer throws a big right hand that misses. Sawyer throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Sawyer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sawyer preventing the sweep. Hinds keeping moving, preventing Sawyer from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sawyer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Cyrus Sawyer just wasn't active enough. Sawyer moves into the clinch. Hinds taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Sawyer is trying to push Hinds away but Hinds has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Sawyer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nice takedown defense from Hinds. No joy for Sawyer on that attempt. Sawyer tries to clinch there but Hinds circles away.
Sawyer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sawyer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sawyer moves out of range of the body kick from Hinds.
Hinds paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Cyrus Sawyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hinds takes a swing at Sawyer's ribcage but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sawyer looks to land a combination but Hinds avoids it well. Sawyer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Hinds taking punishment in the form of punches.
Hinds is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sawyer's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Sawyer! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Hinds has tapped! This one is allllll over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Creyonte looks to score with a jab to the body but Saarinen is just out of range. Creyonte clobbers Saarinen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Creyonte stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Saarinen. Saarinen tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Creyonte is able to avoid easily. Creyonte looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Saarinen keeping moving, preventing Creyonte from controlling successfully. Saarinen wants to stand and escape but Creyonte is having none of it. Creyonte pushing down on Saarinen's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Creyonte tries to pass to full mount but Saarinen defends it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Saarinen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Creyonte trying to control the action but Saarinen is working from the bottom. Saarinen trying to hold on to Creyonte's head to control him but Creyonte postures up.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kawajiri fails with a takedown attempt. Kawajiri shoots in for a double leg but Arlecki sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kawajiri fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tatsuya Kawajiri. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kawajiri throws a right hand that misses
and Arlecki counters with a big head kick but Kawajiri shrugs it off. Kawajiri doesn't succeed with the takedown and Arlecki counters with a body kick that stops Kawajiri in his tracks momentarily. Arlecki tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Arlecki feints and then cracks Kawajiri's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kawajiri down. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kawajiri gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Arlecki counters with an inside leg kick. Kawajiri misses with a takedown attempt and Arlecki counters with a good low kick that Kawajiri was not able to check.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arlecki scores with a hook to the body. Kawajiri takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Kawajiri shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Arlecki as he avoids it easily. Nice shot by Arlecki. Kawajiri takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Arlecki tries to clinch up but Kawajiri circles away and keeps his distance. Kawajiri shoots in but no luck this time. Kawajiri with a lazy takedown attempt and Arlecki counters with a good, hard body kick but Kawajiri shrugs it off. Kawajiri is breathing heavily. Kawajiri fails with a takedown attempt. Arlecki lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Arlecki throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Arlecki gets through Kawajiri's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Arlecki tries to work over Kawajiri's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Kawajiri steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Arlecki. That one must have hurt. Arlecki moves into the clinch. Arlecki is trying to maintain a safe position but Kawajiri gets an underhook and turns Arlecki into the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kawajiri is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Arlecki landing knees to the head.
Arlecki cracks Kawajiri with a nice body shot. Arlecki pushes Kawajiri back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Arlecki working Kawajiri over with knees to the body. Kawajiri tries for a takedown but Arlecki manages to get underhooks.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Arlecki creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Arlecki controlling the action here for a moment.
Arlecki lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kawajiri backwards. Arlecki lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Arlecki is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kawajiri is keeping busy. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kawajiri drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stratton tries for a takedown but Mauti sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Stratton throws a body punch but Mauti moves out of range. Stratton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A solid leg kick lands there for Mauti .

Mauti lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Stratton dives in and grabs Mauti 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mauti pushes down on Stratton's head and hops out. Michael Mauti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Stratton. Mauti pivots, looking for a leg kick but Stratton is out of range and Mauti settles back down. No luck with that takedown attempt from Stratton. Mauti scoring well with a low kick there.

Stratton won't allow Mauti to sweep him here. Stratton throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Stratton postures up in Mauti 's guard and throws a big left but Mauti blocks it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stratton postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Michael Mauti wasn't doing enough on the ground. Stratton shoots for a double leg takedown but Mauti sprawls well. He's pushed Stratton's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Mauti is trying to defend but Stratton finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. This has been an exciting period of action! Lil I shoots in and gets a takedown into Stryker's guard. Lil I trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Stryker pulls Lil I in to control the position. Lil I throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stryker works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lil I tries to free his leg and advance position but Stryker is retaining full guard. Lil I makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lil I trying to control but Stryker is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lil I throwing strikes but missing. Lil I has gone for a leg lock! Stryker slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lil I's guard. Lil I has his feet on Stryker's thighs here. He's pushed Stryker off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Stryker screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Kovacks closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Kovacks sitting and controlling from the half guard. Bri scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Kovacks manages to mount him!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mercer looks to land a right hand but Wiesenthal moved out of range. Wiesenthal connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Mercer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wiesenthal. Mercer throws an off balance right hand
and Wiesenthal counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Mercer moves away and avoids it. Wiesenthal shoots and misses letting Mercer counter with a right hand. Mercer scores with a jab to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wiesenthal walks into a jab. Wiesenthal has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Wiesenthal there as he acknowledges the shot.
