Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Montgomery Nagendra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seb Bastion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nagendra comes into the arena with The Liberty Bell - John Philip Sousa blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastion slaps away a takedown attempt from Nagendra, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and Bastion cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bastion shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nagendra sprawls well. Nagendra wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bastion gets slowly back to his feet.
Bastion feints and then cracks Nagendra's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nagendra down.

Bastion feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
