The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bom swings widly with a right hand

and Che Che counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Che Che uses his free foot to push down on Bom's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bom.
Bom throwing hammer fists to the chest of Che Che. What's that going to do exactly?
Che Che is landing with some decent strikes but Bom is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

It looks like Beck Bom has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bom is wriggling around trying to escape.
Che Che blocks Bom's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bom swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Che Che in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Bom tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Che Che lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Che Che takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Che Che has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bom's face.

Beck Bom's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Bom is squirming around, avoiding Che Che's attempts to control the action.

Bom wants to hold on but Che Che pushes him away.

Manners cracks a nice hook into Hurt's ribs.
Manners avoids the head kick by Hurt.
Manners misses with a jab, cross combination.

Manners shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Manners is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hurt defends it well.
Hurt is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Hurt wants to get back to his feet.
Manners takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Manners moves nicely into side control.

Manners has an Americana. Hurt didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Manners is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Manners hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
