Neva shoots for a takedown but Hjernson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hjernson catches Neva with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Neva on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Hjernson throws a series of punches but Neva avoids them all with ease.
Neva slips under a jab from Hjernson.
Neva shoots in looking for a takedown. Hjernson tries to sprawl out of it but Neva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hjernson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Neva avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hjernson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Neva looks for a takedown but Hjernson sprawls well.

Heinola drops his hands momentarily. Ramone doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Heinola staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Heinola doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Maarten Van Der Moot told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Van Der Moot swivels and escapes.
Li throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Li is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Li has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Li lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Van Der Moot has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Van Der Moot and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Wai Man Li seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Van Der Moot is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Li tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Van Der Moot paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Van Der Moot lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Li circles away quickly and effectively.
Van Der Moot lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Horrible takedown by Li or perhaps it was just good defense by Van Der Moot which made him look bad.

Li closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Li lands in his opponent's guard.

Van Der Moot wants to stand but Li has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Li working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Van Der Moot doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Van Der Moot manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Li is looking to sinch up a triangle. Van Der Moot throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Li's body to avoid the submission. Li has instead reached around Van Der Moot's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Li arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Wai Man Li!
