No joy there for Bot, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Horrible takedown by Bot or perhaps it was just good defense by McSweeney which made him look bad.
Bot shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
McSweeney fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bot has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
McSweeney buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Bot takes a kick to the side of the head.
McSweeney throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bot feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Bot might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sword loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Santan scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Sword land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Sword stands and salutes the crowd.

Poppy shoots in and bounces OConnell off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
OConnell is striking off his back. Poppy thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Poppy is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. OConnell can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

OConnell is looking to improve his position but Poppy isn't that keen on the idea.

OConnell has left one of his arms exposed and Poppy doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. OConnell screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
