The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coldon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bot was covering up waiting for the punch and Coldon finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bot is breathing heavily.
Coldon scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Coldon cracks Bot with a solid left hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Coldon working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bot's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Coldon postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Bot can't keep his opponent in guard - Coldon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Coldon is controlling the pace.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Coldon lands a nice short elbow.
Coldon moves nicely into side control.
Coldon working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Coldon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Coldon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bot on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Bot knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Coldon on the ground.
Coldon remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Coldon in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Bot looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Coldon turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

OConnell lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Hoivunen is looking to close the distance but OConnell sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Hoivunen crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Hoivunen is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

Santan feints and as Mac raises his hands in defense, Santan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Santan trying to control the position from guard on top but Mac is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Santan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mac really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We're going to have a standup here because Erwin Santan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
