Gutt comes to the cage accompanied by Mnemic - Wild Boys. Wattson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gutt lands a nice leg kick that just misses Wattson's sensitive parts.
Wattson throws a leg kick that is checked
and Gutt counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Ron Wattson has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wattson moves away from the strike by Gutt.
Gutt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wattson manages to avoid it.
Gutt connects with a single shot there.
Wattson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gutt.
Wattson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Wattson shoots in for a double leg but Gutt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gutt on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Gutt lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Wattson takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Gutt thows a left - swing and a miss!
Gutt cracks a nice hook into Wattson's ribs.
Gutt defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wattson.
Wattson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gutt clobbers Wattson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Gutt drops Wattson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Wattson looks back up at him and smiles so Gutt waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

That has opened up Ron Wattson's cut even more.

Gutt finds Wattson's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Wattson flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Gutt lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Wattson will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Arnold Gutt!
After the fight, Arnold Gutt was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Kirosh slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Kirosh connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Machida's hands.
Kirosh throws a nice looking combination but Machida bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
