The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kozelkov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Patrick counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kozelkov looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Patrick wants the takedown. Kozelkov is fighting it off but Patrick persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kozelkov's guard against the cage.
Patrick wants to control from the top but Kozelkov keeps moving.
Patrick cracks Kozelkov with a solid left hand.
Patrick content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Patrick distracts Kozelkov with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Judo moves in looking to clinch but Hill pushes him off.

Judo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hill manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Judo forces his way into half guard.
Judo blocks the strikes from Hill.

Judo is trying to work for a kimura but Hill is defending well.

Judo is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hill has managed to free his arm - good work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hill can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hill is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Judo is really struggling to control Hill but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Judo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hill is just riding it out for now. Judo eventually gives up the hold.
Judo moves nicely into side control.
Hill tries to bench press Judo off him but Judo keeps the position.

Judo has hold of Hill's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Hill seems comfortable defending it but Judo has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Hill is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Hill is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Judo couldn't care less - he's delighted!

That was a close second round but I would say that Matt Trang will probably get the nod.
