 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
August gets in close and instigates a clinch. Silva has had enough of the clinch but August keeps him there for the moment.
August pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. August steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Silva. August misses with a series of wild punches.
August connects with a solid leg kick.
August closes the distance and clinches.
August manages to break the clinch.
August moves into the clinch successfully.
August drags the fight down to the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Silva throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
August pushes Silva off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Silva throws a head kick that misses.

August drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
August has hold of Silva's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Silva tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - August cranks the arm and Silva screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Silva, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyers closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Alkofer to the mat! Alkofer manages to get full guard. Alkofer wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Alkofer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Alkofer works his way into side control. Alkofer scores with punches from side control. Alkofer working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Meyers wants to control but Alkofer postures up. Alkofer advances nicely into full mount. This has been an exciting period of action! Meyers wants to hold on but Alkofer pushes him away.
Alkofer is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Meyers has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Meyers! Meyers being controlled here momentarily. Meyers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
 That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Alkofer is on top in guard.
Meyers is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Alkofer works a leg free and moves into half guard. Alkofer works his way into side control. Meyers wants to get back to his feet but Alkofer drags him back down. Meyers tries to bench press Alkofer off him but Alkofer keeps the position. Alkofer works to advance to full mount. Meyers defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Alkofer jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Meyers manages to avoid the submission attempt. Alkofer in side control, throwing shots but Meyers defends. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Meyers tries to improve position but can't. Alkofer moves into full mount! Alkofer scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Alkofer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Alkofer is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Alkofer!

14 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dan Kaeo! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kaeo throws a head kick that misses. No joy there for Kell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kell throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kaeo counters with a slapping leg kick. Kell lands a nice shot to the body.
Kell looks to throw the jab but Kaeo is out of range. Kaeo misses with a head kick.
Kaeo fails to land with a series of punches.
Kell uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kaeo. A punch combination from Kaeo misses. Kell ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Kaeo throws a solid leg kick but Kell takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kaeo. Kell misses with a looping left. Kaeo fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kell is out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kaeo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kell walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
 It looks like Phelan Kell has been cut. Kaeo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kell. Kell jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kaeo drops Kell with a beautiful combination! Kell stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kaeo is looking for the KO!
 Kell is rocked!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kaeo lands a nice looking body shot.
Oh Kell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kaeo lands with a right and another and another! Kell is in big trouble! Kaeo lands again and this time it's lights out for Kell! A quality knockout there for Kaeo.

Steele comes to the cage accompanied by Cinderella Man. Mangold comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dead Prez "Be Healthy" kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! George Steele had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Danny Mangold enters the cage!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mangold ducks under a wild hook from Steele. Steele takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Mangold throws a head kick but Steele moves out of range.
Mangold thumps Steele with a low kick. Steele checks a low kick from Mangold. Steele tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mangold scores with a body shot.
Mangold on the wrong end of a nice hook. Mangold keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Steele finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Mangold throws a body kick that misses. Steele moves out of range as Mangold throws a body kick.
Mangold lands a front kick. Steele is looking to clinch. Mangold is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mangold throws a leg kick that misses. Steele smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Steele tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mangold manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Steele fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mangold to the ground. Steele is now in Mangold's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Mangold preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mangold bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Steele's guard. Mangold looking to sit in guard and control but Steele gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Mangold working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Steele. Mangold is trying to control the position but Steele postures up. Mangold has control of Steele's left arm, preventing Steele from doing any damage.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Mangold preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Steele postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Steele missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Steele trying to control but Mangold is working from the bottom. Mangold avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Steele is fighting to break Mangold's control of his arms but Mangold is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Mangold preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
 Danny Mangold has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Steele closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
 It looks like George Steele has been cut. A looping hook to the body misses from Steele. Mangold does a little dance to reset his feet. Steele looks to score with a jab to the body but Mangold is just out of range. Mangold moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Mangold lands with a shot to the body. Steele on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Mangold comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mangold lands with a good body shot. Steele is breathing heavily. A telegraphed right hand from Steele misses the target. Mangold dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A head kick misses from Mangold. Mangold scores with a jab to the jaw.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Mangold throws a nice inside leg kick. Mangold with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Mangold punishes Steele's body with a nice straight punch. Steele takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Mangold lands with a shot to the body. Mangold connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Nice body punch from Mangold. Danny Mangold is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Steele doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Steele on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Mangold throws a wild body kick that Steele sees coming a mile off. Steele takes a head kick and keeps coming.
 Steele is rocked! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mangold cracks Steele with a left hook right on the temple and Steele goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Mangold lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Steele is OK!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Danny Mangold! After winning the bout, Danny Mangold thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sharper tries for a takedown but Banks sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Banks throws the left hand but Sharper avoids the punch easily. Banks smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Banks fails with the takedown. Banks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sharper tries to avoid it but Banks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sharper to the ground. Sharper escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Banks, as that shot connected.
Banks lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sharper avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Banks shoots in but Sharper avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Banks. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sharper shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Banks wants to hold on but Sharper pushes him away. Sharper lands with some strikes. Sharper takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Banks is working to get back to half guard.

Sharper content just to control the position here. Sharper's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Banks wants to control but Sharper is having none of it. Sharper is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Banks can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Sharper wants to control the pace but Banks is squirming around nicely. Sharper controlling his opponent. Banks is desperately trying to improve his position but Sharper has a good base and remains in mount.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Banks is squirming around, avoiding Sharper's attempts to control the action. Banks tries to reverse the position but Sharper maintains control. Sharper controlling from the full mount. Banks is looking to get to half guard. Sharper unloading with bombs! Sharper controlling his opponent. Banks in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Banks tries to lock up and control but Sharper gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sharper working away from the top, dropping strikes.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sharper fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rite fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Locke has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Rite throws a front kick aimed at Locke's knee but Locke avoids it well. Rite throws the kick towards the body but Locke avoids it. Good work by Locke as he checks the leg kick. Rite looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Locke moves out of range of the body kick. Rite throws a low kick, looking for Locke's leg but Locke calmly moves out of range. Rite cracks the inside of Locke's front leg. A telegraphed right hand from Locke misses the target. Rite is looking to score with low kicks. Locke checks the leg kick nicely there.

Locke looks gassed! A kick lands to the mid section there for Rite. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Locke has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Rite. Locke has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Rite. Locke avoids a kick to the body.

Rite is looking to chop away at Locke's legs. Rite with a nice cross. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Locke might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Rite has got the better of the exchanges.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Miller looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sauna closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hart did well to prevent Sauna getting side control. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Hart blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sauna. Hart really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sauna. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sauna works his way into side control. Sloppy strikes there by Sauna. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hart takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That was a close round but I would say that Akuma Zetto will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Brett Williams's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
