Black wants the takedown. Cantrell is fighting it off but Black persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Cantrell's guard against the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russell tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
No joy there for Russell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Russell connects with a leg kick. Goc looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Russell throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Goc throws a front kick that sends Russell stumbling back into the cage.
Russell misses with a wild combination.
Sloppy strikes from Russell. Those never looked like landing.
Russell throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Goc counters with a big head kick but Russell shrugs it off.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

A clash of legs there as Russell blocks the low kick.
Goc slips a jab and a cross from Russell.
Goc connects with a body shot that sends Russell's belly button to the back.
Russell lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Russell misses with a looping left.
Goc chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Russell looks gassed!
Russell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Goc connects with a solid leg kick.
Russell takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Russell takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Russell misses with an uppercut
and Goc counters with a body kick that stops Russell in his tracks momentarily.
Goc chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Goc lands a nice hook to Russell's body. Russell takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Goc moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Goc scores with a shot to the body.
Goc lands with a kick to the ribs.
Goc connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Russell walks forward, straight into a front kick from Goc.
Goc is looking to slow Russell down with leg kicks.
Russell takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Goc works Russell's body with a nice hook.
Russell takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Shaun Russell has been cut.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Russell crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Goc - the referee stops the clock and Russell gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Goc. Russell manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Russell has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Goc.
A lazy left from Goc finds it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Goc scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Shaun Russell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Goc fails to land with a series of punches.
Goc bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Goc is looking to slow Russell down with leg kicks.
Russell's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Goc digs a good hook to Russell's body.
Goc fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Goc lands a big head kick that sends Russell tumbling to the mat! Goc takes a step backwards and waves Russell back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Russell is rocked!
Goc throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Russell crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
