0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Philmore Butts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Benoit! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Jorge Garcia.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butts motions for Benoit to come forward. Butts throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Benoit fails to land with a series of punches.
Benoit tries to sprawl but Butts drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Benoit looking for submissions off his back. Butts lands with a punch from half guard. Benoit is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Butts lands a nice short elbow.
Butts is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Benoit doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Butts.
Butts is working for a kimura but Benoit is defending it quite comfortably.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Butts throwing strikes from guard but Benoit blocks nicely. Benoit utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Benoit is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Butts is controlling him.
Benoit working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Butts doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Butts manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Butts lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Butts pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Benoit is keeping the position for now.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Butts wanted to stand there but Benoit had control of the position. Butts working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Butts content to stall in guard here. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Butts's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Butts keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Benoit's head.
 Benoit is rocked! Butts knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Benoit on the ground. This has been an exciting period of action! Butts sitting in guard here, content to control. Benoit can't keep his opponent in guard - Butts advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Butts seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Butts slips a nice elbow through Benoit's hands, connecting with Benoit's forehead. Benoit is still in real trouble! Can Butts finish him?

Butts is figuring out what he wants to do next. Benoit is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Benoit looks gassed! Butts wants to free his trapped foot but Benoit is holding on for dear life with his legs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Butts is working hard here to advance position. Benoit seems to have recovered his senses. Butts prevents Benoit from improving his position. Butts passes to side control. Butts lands an elbow.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Butts stands up and beckons Benoit to his feet. A slow jab from Butts misses its intended target. Butts keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A punch combination from Benoit misses. Butts throws a series of punches but Benoit moves out of range. Butts drops Benoit with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Benoit! Butts dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Crimson! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Eddie Farnsworth.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Teller shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Crimson counter with a right hand. Crimson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Crimson thows a left - swing and a miss! Crimson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Crimson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Crimson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Teller fails with the takedown and Crimson counters with a head kick. That will keep Teller thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Teller takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A decent looking cross lands there for Crimson. Crimson connects with the punch. A lazy left from Crimson finds it's target. Crimson swings for the body but Teller moves out of range.
Crimson lands with an uppercut that bounces Teller off the cage and back into range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Teller with a poor takedown and Crimson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Teller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Crimson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Teller takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Teller takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Teller takes a shot right to the bread basket. Teller walks into a straight right hand from Crimson. Good shot there by Crimson. Crimson cracks Teller with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Teller falls to his knees and Crimson doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva shoots in looking for a takedown but Lewis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Silva's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nice sprawl there from Lewis as Silva shoots in. Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Lewis, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Lewis against the cage but Lewis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chael Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lewis with a jab. Lewis lands an overhand right. Lewis lands a jab. John Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lewis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. This has been an exciting period of action! Silva passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Lewis! Lewis tries to lock up and control but Silva gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lewis can do anything to dispel that myth. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silva has control of Lewis's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lewis regains control of the situation pretty easily.

They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Silva hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good leg kick by Repomies there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Repomies tries to clinch up but McGully circles away and keeps his distance. That kick from Repomies tenderised McGully's leg. McGully is trying to keep his angry face on. A combination from McGully does no damage. Repomies slips a jab and a cross from McGully.
McGully is trying hard to land a takedown here. Repomies sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Repomies scores with a slapping inside leg kick. McGully shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Repomies pinned against the cage. Repomies gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Repomies throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. McGully tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. McGully shoots for a takedown but Repomies saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason McGully.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shodo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sharif avoids it really well and circles away. Sharif lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Shodo takes one on the button. Sharif throws a shot to the body.
