Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mr Ball! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gregory Graham! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Graham fails with the takedown and Ball counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Ball is taking a breather. Graham says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. It looks like Ball is going to stand back up.
Graham wants to improve his position but Ball is controlling well.
Graham works his way to full guard. Good work. Graham is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ball knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Graham on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Graham is taking a breather. Ball says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Ball won't allow Graham to pass to mount. Well, if Graham is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Graham has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Graham wants to control the pace but Ball is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Graham looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Graham tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Graham is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ball has left one of his arms exposed and Graham doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Ball screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Max Power! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Power blocks a head kick by Dog.
Dog fakes the leg kick and cracks Power in the body. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Dog. Power shrugs it off though. Dog tries to land a front kick but Power steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Dog throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. A solid body kick from Dog. Power shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dog as he jumps to the side. Dog connects with a leg kick. Power looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Power on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Dog. No joy for Power on that attempt. Rain Dog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Power misses with a takedown and Dog counters with a leg kick. Rain Dog has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Power. Dog lands with a nice body kick. Dog throws a low kick but it's checked well by Power. A slapping leg kick lands for Dog.

Power takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Power looks gassed! A nice inside leg kick there by Dog. That's going to slow Power down.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dog fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Power has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Dog moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Dog lands a big head kick that sends Power tumbling to the mat! Dog takes a step backwards and waves Power back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Power is rocked!
It looks like Max Power has been cut. Dog with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Power is still on wobbly legs! Can Dog finish him? Dog throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Power seems to have recovered his senses. Dog fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Power. Dog delivers a nice body kick. Power has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Dog.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dog connects with a leg kick. Power looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. An inside leg kick lands from Dog. Dog cracks the inside of Power's front leg. Power takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Dog scores with a kick to the midsection. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Dog. Power shrugs it off though. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Dog, right into the meat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dog throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dog scores with a spinning back kick! Dog connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Dog is looking to slow Power down with leg kicks. Dog lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Dog lets loose with a powerful body kick. Power will feel that in the morning. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dog pushes Power away with a front kick. Dog thumps Power with a low kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rain Dog dominated that round. The cut man is working on Max Power's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Dog. Dog thuds his shin into the meat of Power's side. Dog bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Dog lands with a slapping head kick. A solid body kick from Dog. Dog throws a nice inside leg kick. Dog moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Dog fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Power has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Power is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dog throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Dog lands a nice looking body kick. Rain Dog is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dog buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Power misses with a takedown attempt - Dog sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Power's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Dog lands with a slapping head kick. Dog is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Power can do to turn this around? Dog dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Power. That did some damage! Dog chopping away at his opponent's legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dog fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Power has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Dog lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Dog lands a front kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dog lets loose with a powerful body kick. Power will feel that in the morning. Dog lands a glancing blow to the side of Power's head. Dog connects with a solid leg kick. Dog pushes Power away with a front kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Dog - that will leave a mark!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dog throws a front kick that sends Power stumbling back into the cage. Power has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Dog. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dog fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Power has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Max Power is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Power takes a kick to the side of the head. Dog lands a leg kick that knocks Power off balance momentarily. Rain Dog is winning the standup battle so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dog lands a nice leg kick that just misses Power's sensitive parts. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Power might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Dog has got the better of the exchanges. Dog scoring well with a low kick there.

Power walks forward, straight into a front kick from Dog. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dog goes for a high kick. It partially lands. An inside leg kick lands from Dog.
And that's the end of the fight! Rain Dog showed his dominance in that final round. Well Dog has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
