Lee comes to the cage accompanied by Japanese National Anthem. Bobby Tupper Vi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Tupper Vi counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tupper Vi in particular looking to stall.
Tupper Vi is keen to just control but Lee is a slippery customer.

Tupper Vi seems to be looking for submissions.

Lee is defending against the submission attempts here by Tupper Vi.
Lee is concentrating on defense, preventing Tupper Vi from advancing position.
Lee is trying to stand up here but Tupper Vi is controlling him well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lee stands up and waves to Tupper Vi to follow him.

Lee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tupper Vi takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Tupper Vi has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lee uses from the top position.
Lee has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Tupper Vi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Tupper Vi is tightening it up a little... Lee has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Lee reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Lee taps out! Nice BJJ there by Tupper Vi!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brock Shamrock.

Claw's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Marcus Plant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Plant throws a low kick but Claw avoids it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Claw's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Claw bucks up and throws Plant to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Plant wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Plant goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Claw cracks Plant with a right hand to the side of the head.
Plant fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Claw moves into the clinch.
Claw lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Plant backwards.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Claw is trying to break the clinch but Plant is controlling him.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Plant creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
