2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marcus Kennedy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ichi Takeshi! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kennedy doesn't succeed with the takedown and Takeshi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Takeshi has managed to clinch.
Kennedy blocks a body shot from Takeshi. Kennedy tries to land knees in the clinch but Takeshi avoids the damage to the body. Takeshi is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kennedy is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Takeshi to the mat. Takeshi regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Kennedy won't allow Takeshi to sweep him here. Kennedy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kennedy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kennedy keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Takeshi's head. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Takeshi is on top in guard.
Kennedy controls Takeshi momentarily but Takeshi frees himself. Kennedy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Takeshi throws a strike but Kennedy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kennedy postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kennedy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berrao rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fernandez moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Berrao scores with the left hand. Fernandez knows he should have avoided that one. Fernandez scores with a crisp jab that stopped Berrao in his tracks. Fernandez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Berrao circles away quickly and effectively. Berrao with a hook.
It looks like Nicky Fernandez has been cut. Fernandez jabs Berrao right on the nose. Berrao blinks but takes it well. Fernandez misses with a hook. Berrao ducked under it nicely. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Waters holds on and takes a little breather. Schilling wants to stand but Waters is controlling his posture from full guard. A combination from Waters does no damage. The crowd cheers as Waters lands an impressive looking overhand right. Schilling doesn't seem phased though. Schilling throws a push kick but Waters slaps the foot to one side. Waters scores with a hook to the body. Schilling takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. A punch combination from Waters misses. Schilling checks a leg kick. Waters lands a two punch combo.

Schilling is rocked! Waters Rushes Schilling and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Schilling is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Waters Piles on the pressure and Schilling crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Xinhai throws out a loose jab but Kush uses good head movement to avoid it. Xinhai with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hindu Kush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No joy there for Kush, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kush on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Kush tries to clinch up. Xinhai feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kush's calf. Kush misses with a body kick. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kush lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Xinhai has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Xinhai and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Kush shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Xinhai pinned against the cage. Xinhai gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kush dives in and grabs Xinhai's left leg, looking for a takedown. Xinhai pushes down on Kush's head and hops out. Danga de danga de dang - Kush scores with a four punch combination! Kush has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Xinhai. Kush misses with a looping right. Kush tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Kush fails with an attempt to clinch.
