The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Souza closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Brij Khali seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
De Souza's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Khali connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! De Souza scrambles back to his feet.
Khali lands with a nice body punch.
Khali lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but De Souza circles away quickly and effectively.
Khali connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between De Souza's hands.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nice uppercut there from Khali.

Khali dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
De Souza circles away from the clinch attempt.
De Souza tries to score a power double leg takedown but Khali sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten De Souza somewhat.
Khali tries to clinch but De Souza is having none of it.
Khali feints with a jab and clips De Souza right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! De Souza is sent crashing into the canvas and Khali leaps in for the kill! De Souza tries to get to his feet but Khali is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that De Souza is in need of a savior and steps in!

Sproston throws a right and a left that Hughes avoids nicely.

Hughes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Sproston kicks off Hughes and gets to his feet.
Sproston rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hughes moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sproston throws a head kick that Hughes semi-blocks.
Sproston tries to clinch up.
Sproston throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Sproston! Hughes is out on his feet! Sproston rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Hughes is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Hughes is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Nadtoka connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Davison tumbling to the canvas! Nadtoka pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Davison was done - good stoppage!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Smith enables Owen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Smith manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Smith has his hands on Owen's head, controlling the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Owen drops back looking for a leg! Smith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smith manages to kick Owen off! Owen jumps back into Smith's guard.
Smith controls Owen momentarily but Owen frees himself.
Smith wants to get back to his feet but Owen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
