The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reeves with a poor takedown and Stanly decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Reeves's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Stanly pushes down on Reeves's leg and manages to get into half guard. Stanly works his way into full mount! Stanly with good strikes from the mount here! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Reeves wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Stanly.
Stanly sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Stanly misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

15 - 15 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jack Meeoff! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Eddie Farnsworth and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Vandelay misses. Vandelay throws a leg kick that misses. Meeoff throws a nice looking combination but Vandelay bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Vandelay tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Meeoff is able to avoid easily. Vandelay tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Meeoff closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Meeoff uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Vandelay. A head kick misses from Vandelay. Meeoff lands with a cross. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Meeoff!
Meeoff will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Meeoff fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vandelay, pushing him back against the cage. Meeoff has picked Vandelay up - he's going for a ride! Meeoff dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Vandelay wants to get back to full guard. Vandelay pushes Meeoff off looking to stand but Meeoff dives back in and keeps control.
Meeoff is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Vandelay! Vandelay tries to buck Meeoff off but he can't manage it. Vandelay pushes Meeoff off looking to stand but Meeoff dives back in and keeps control.

Meeoff tries to bum rush Vandelay with a series of wild strikes but Vandelay uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Vandelay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Meeoff moves away. Vandelay throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Meeoff throws a sloppy head kick and Vandelay counters with a three punch combo that has Meeoff backing up. Meeoff nods at Vandelay to acknowledge the strikes. Meeoff gets the takedown into side control. Vandelay is trying to improve his position. Jack Meeoff has got the better of the ground game so far. Vandelay is working hard here to advance position. Meeoff is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Vandelay is trying to escape and Meeoff transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Vandelay is forced to tap! Nice work there by Meeoff! Very nice indeed!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Woods throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Woods walks into a stiff left hand from Billet.
It looks like James Woods has been cut. Billet throws a leg kick that is checked and Woods counters with a shoot takedown. Billet fights it but they end up in guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Billet controls Woods momentarily but Woods frees himself. Billet escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Woods gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Woods postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Woods sitting in guard, not really doing much. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benoit misses with a looping right. Benoit connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed This momentarily.

This feints and then cracks Benoit's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Benoit down. Benoit shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. This is trying to defend but Benoit finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. This has one foot on Benoit's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Nice defenses there by Benoit. This pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. This tests Benoit's chin there with a solid looking shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. This is looking to clinch but Benoit is avoiding it.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Benoit crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from This - the referee stops the clock and Benoit gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says This. Benoit manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. A slapping body kick lands there for This. A head kick misses from This. Benoit fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Conquer This is winning the standup battle so far. Benoit takes a shot to the body in his stride.
