Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Bruce Campbell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 23 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Bear! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bear changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Campbell tries to avoid it but Bear manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Campbell to the ground. Campbell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bear fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Campbell fails to land with a series of punches.
Campbell swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Campbell keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Bear is looking to clinch but Campbell is avoiding it.
Bear bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A shot to the liver by Campbell. Beautiful body shot. Bear shoots in looking for a takedown. Campbell tries to sprawl out of it but Bear keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Campbell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bear misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bruce Campbell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Bear. Bear tries to close the distance and clinch but Campbell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bruce Campbell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Campbell throws a looping overhand right but Bear ducks down to avoid it. Campbell is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bear. Campbell fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bear looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Bear bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Bear throws a hook but Campbell avoids it easily. Bear walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bear tries for a takedown but Campbell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Campbell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bear moves away. Bear showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Campbell.
Bear takes one on the button. Campbell misses the body punch and Bear counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Bear wants to pass to mount but Campbell is defending the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well, if Bear is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Bear wants to control but Campbell is keeping him busy. Bear is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Bear missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Bear perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear misses with a head shot. Campbell uses the momentum to regain guard. Bear throws an elbow that misses. Campbell uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bear's guard. Nice move by Campbell! Bear is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Campbell trying to control the position from guard on top but Bear is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Campbell won't allow Bear to sweep him here. Bear keeping full guard, as Campbell tries to pass. Bear bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Campbell's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bear postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bear wants to control from the top but Campbell keeps moving. Campbell is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Campbell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bear's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bear pulls Campbell in close to prevent any damage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Campbell preventing the sweep. Bear is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Bear dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Campbell throws a shot from downtown. Bear moves away and avoids it. Bear throws a right and a left that both miss. Bear fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bruce Campbell is winning the standup battle so far. Bear slips a jab from Campbell. Bear looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Campbell is fending him off so far but Bear persists. Nope, Campbell circles away and we're back to standing. Campbell misses with a looping right. Bear steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Campbell. That one must have hurt. Campbell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bear stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Campbell scores with a sloppy right hand. Bear should have avoided that one. Bear on the wrong end of a nice hook. Max Bear is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nice shot by Campbell.
That's one minute gone in the round. Campbell throws out a powerful jab. Campbell takes a swing at Bear's ribcage but misses. Campbell goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Bear tries for a takedown but Campbell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bruce Campbell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Bear. Bear throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bear shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Campbell eats them both and turns towards Bear to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Campbell feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bears jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Campbell fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Bear is breathing heavily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Bear. Campbell stops Bear from passing to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Bear stalls from top position. Campbell tries to escape but Bear is in control. Campbell is not content to let Bear control the position. Bear lands a nice forearm strike. Campbell is not content to let Bear control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Campbell is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bear's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Bear is trying to control. Campbell wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Bear is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Bear is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Campbell sees it coming and defends easily. Max Bear has got the better of the ground game so far. Campbell is refusing to be controlled, as Bear sits in half guard. Bear not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bear is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Campbell manages to get to full guard. Bear throwing strikes but missing. Campbell utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bear is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Campbell is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Campbell has escaped and now he's on top! Bear keeping moving, preventing Campbell from controlling successfully. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Campbell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bear swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Bruce Campbell will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Campbell smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Campbell throws a lazy head kick and Bear counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Campbell preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Campbell is trying to control the position but Bear postures up. Bear wants to control from the top but Campbell keeps moving. Campbell has his foot on Bear's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bear works his way back into a safe position though. Bear advances to half guard. Bear slips a nice elbow through Campbell's hands, connecting with Campbell's forehead. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bear is working for a kimura but Campbell is defending it quite comfortably.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bear is taking a breather. Campbell says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Bear is pressing down on Campbell's thigh, looking to free his foot. Campbell is holding on for now. Campbell blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bear.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bear throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Bear is just content to waste time from the top position. Campbell takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Bear stopping the sweep attempt from Campbell. Campbell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bear gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bear passes Campbell's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Campbell is trying to maintain the position but Bear is very close to passing his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Bear takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Bear has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Campbell defend it? Bear steps over the head and cranks it - Campbell is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Bear!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Po misses with a head kick.
Walujew looking to score a takedown here. Po is defending well but Walujew drives through and ends up in Po's guard. Po might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Walujew gets to his feet. Po looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Po throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Walujew shoots in but no luck this time. Walujew tries to clinch but Po moves away and Po connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Nikolai Walujew has been cut. Walujew dives in and grabs Po's left leg, looking for a takedown. Po pushes down on Walujew's head and hops out. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Po misses with a hook. Walujew ducked under it nicely. Po misses the shot to the body. Po pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Walujew closes the distance and clinches up with Po, looking for a takedown. Walujew pushes Po against the cage but Po circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Tong Po is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Po misses with a leg kick. Walujew tries to clinch but fails miserably and Po counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Walujew badly! He tries to strike back but Po puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Walujew out cold! Oh man, Walujew will never hear the end of this one!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Surprise steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mancine. Surprise fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mancine manages to avoid it. Mancine misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Ray Mancine comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mancine has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hall pushes Costanza up against the cage in a clinch. Hall lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Hall working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Hall lands with a punch from half guard. Costanza is trying to get back to full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Costanza looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hall looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Costanza with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Hall seems to be working for a kimura but Costanza defends the submission attempt. Costanza has hold of Hall's hands but Hall slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Costanza tries to roll over but Hall keeps him under control. Hall is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Costanza is just riding it out for now. Hall eventually gives up the hold. Costanza wants to improve his position but Hall is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Costanza is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hall pulls his head out easily. Well, if Hall is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Hall working the head and body with strikes. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Poochyena feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Wilson sprawling to the canvas! Wilson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Poochyena finish him?!
Poochyena jabs Wilson to the body, keeping him at a distance. Poochyena connects with a body shot. Wilson get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Wilson stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Poochyena runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Walker connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Parka momentarily.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Parka has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Parka and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
