Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Taka Sho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Helppo Heikki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taka Sho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Helppo Heikki!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Sho misses the target.

and Heikki counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sho won't be happy with that.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Heikki tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Heikki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sho swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Heikki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sho has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Heikki has managed to get both his arms back between Sho's legs - danger averted.

Sho has his foot on Heikki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Heikki works his way back into a safe position though.

Sho tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Heikki was well out of range. Poor timing from Sho.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Helppo Heikki's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Helppo Heikki's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
