The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramos looking to score a takedown here. Johnson is defending well but Ramos drives through and ends up in Johnson's guard. Ramos works a leg free and moves into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ramos lands a nice short elbow. Ramos seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Ramos lands with a punch from half guard.

Pinwan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Pinwan manages to end up in side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Pinwan working away. Pinwan decides to stand back up. Pinwan steps back and let's Zimmer get back to his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reed takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Stallion darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Reed wants to get back to his feet. Stallion content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Reed has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stallion is working away from the top position though. Ground and pound from Stallion.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stallion not doing much here.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Stallion dives in and scores a takedown into Reed's guard. Stallion slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Stallion advances position into side control! Stallion just content to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reed is trying to get back to half guard. Stallion sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Reed is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Stallion remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. It looks like Stallion might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. This has been an exciting period of action!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Stallion creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. A lull in the action here. Stallion is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Reed gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Stallion working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Reed has his foot on Stallion's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stallion works his way back into a safe position though. Stallion throwing strikes but missing. Stallion is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Stallion has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
