The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jin moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Wash thows a body shot but no joy. Wash shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Jin misses with a two punch combination.
Jin blocks a head kick by Wash.
Wash moves into the clinch. Wash blocking some punches.
Wash drags the fight down to the ground.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kale Perez! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A solid leg kick lands there for Giovani.
Giovani scores with a leg kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Giovani. That's going to slow Perez down. Giovani misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Giovani throws a leg kick but Perez checks it. Giovani lands with a slapping head kick. Giovani misses with a two punch combination.

Perez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Giovani sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Perez somewhat. A good leg kick by Giovani. Perez takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Perez scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Perez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Giovani has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Perez but great work by Giovani. Giovani tries to advance to mount but Perez denies him. Perez is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Giovani's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Perez manages to get to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Giovani accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Perez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Giovani manages to get himself to full guard.
Perez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Perez stops Giovani from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Perez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Perez is trying to get an arm triangle but Giovani is defending well. Perez looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Perez working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Giovani really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Perez has knee on belly and moves into mount. Giovani knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Perez on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Giovani is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Perez with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Perez has hold of Giovani's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Giovani manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Perez working for a guillotine from mount but Giovani is in no mood to give up. Perez goes for an armbar but Giovani turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Giovani.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Perez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Giovani gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Perez is looking for a triangle but Giovani pushes his legs off easily.
Giovani slips nicely into half guard. Giovani throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Giovani is looking to pass Perez's guard but actually Perez recovers to full guard. Giovani loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Giovani tries to free his leg and advance position but Perez is retaining full guard. Giovani has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Perez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Perez shoots in for a double leg but Giovani sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Perez shoots for a double leg takedown but Giovani sprawls well. He's pushed Perez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ackmed Giovani has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kale Perez. Perez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Sloppy strikes from Giovani. Those never looked like landing. Perez takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Perez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Giovani is just riding it out for now. Perez eventually gives up the hold. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tezuka shoots in for a takedown but Tabashi shows good takedown defense. Tezuka dives in and scores a takedown into Tabashi's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Tezuka slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kunimitsu Tezuka. Tezuka forces Tabashi back against the cage and clinches. Tabashi misses with a body punch.
Tezuka is pushing Tabashi up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Tabashi dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Tabashi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tezuka has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tezuka and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tabashi lands a head kick. Tezuka smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Tezuka shoots in and drives through. Tabashi sprawls well. Taba Tabashi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kunimitsu Tezuka. Tabashi gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Tabashi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Tezuka gets to his feet. Tabashi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Tezuka misses the shot to the body. Tezuka bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Tezuka moves away from the strike by Tabashi. Tezuka walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Tabashi connects with a leg kick. Tezuka looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Tezuka rushes Tabashi and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Tabashi goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Tezuka gets control of Tabashi's arms and successfully pulls guard. Tezuka will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Tezuka manages to escape and get back to his feet.

He's pushed Tezuka's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Tabashi lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tezuka's sensitive parts. Tezuka shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tabashi sprawls well. Tabashi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tezuka gets slowly back to his feet. Tezuka looks gassed! Tezuka lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Tabashi swings widly with a right hand
and Tezuka counters with a flying knee. Nice. Tabashi connects with a leg kick. Tezuka looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tabashi throws an off balance right hand
and Tezuka counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Tabashi avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Tezuka. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kunimitsu Tezuka dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Tabashi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Tabashi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tezuka was well out of range. Poor timing from Tabashi. Tezuka on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Tabashi. Tabashi obviously looking to wear him down.

Tezuka is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Tabashi misses with a low kick. Tabashi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Tezuka checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Tezuka shoots in but Tabashi avoids the takedown attempt easily. Tezuka throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Tabashi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. A slapping body kick lands there for Tezuka. Tabashi looks to land a combination but Tezuka avoids it well. Tabashi slaps away a takedown attempt from Tezuka, before circling back to the center of the mat. Tezuka keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Tabashi missing with a left hand there. Tezuka was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Tabashi scoring well with a low kick there.

Tezuka takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Tabashi thows a body kick. Tezuka tries to catch it but that hurt him. Tezuka has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tabashi. Tabashi throws a body punch but Tezuka moves out of range.

Tezuka looks for a takedown but Tabashi sprawls well. Tabashi leaves Tezuka with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Taba Tabashi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Taba Tabashi is winning the standup battle so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tabashi connects with a body shot. Tezuka dodges the punch combination from Tabashi.
A slow jab from Tabashi misses its intended target. Tabashi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Tezuka. That did some damage! Tabashi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tezuka's head backwards. Tezuka pushes Tabashi up against the cage in a clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tezuka breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Tezuka's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. A nice inside leg kick there by Tabashi. That's going to slow Tezuka down. Tabashi closes the distance and lands a one-two. Tabashi dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Tabashi tries to bum rush Tezuka with a series of wild strikes but Tezuka uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Tabashi with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tezuka clinches up with Tabashi and pushes him back against the cage. Tabashi throws a head punch that misses. Tabashi working aggressively here.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tezuka holds on and takes a little breather. Tezuka looking for subs off his back but Tabashi has passed one foot through into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tezuka is trying to control but can't.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie ducks right into an uppercut from Booger.
It looks like Gregor Gracie has been cut. A momentary lapse in concentration from Gracie enables Booger to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gracie manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Booger passes Gracie's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Booger seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Gracie has recovered full guard. Booger avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Booger wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Booger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard. Booger passes easily into side control. Nice work. Booger is working Gracie over with some ground and pound from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Booger is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gracie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Booger works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Booger thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Booger is staying tight to Gracie's torso, preventing him from escaping. Booger in side control lands a decent elbow. Booger is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gracie has escaped the position, nice work there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Booger trying to control the position but Gracie is working away.

Gregor Gracie's cut is getting worse. Booger is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie is trying to control Booger's posture but Booger avoids it. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Greyjoy gets caught napping as Munakata dives in and scores a takedown. Greyjoy manages to retain guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Munakata won't allow Greyjoy to get back to his feet. Greyjoy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Munakata doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Munakata manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Munakata trying to control the position from guard on top but Greyjoy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Munakata stays in close to Greyjoy's body and controls the position. Greyjoy keeping full guard, as Munakata tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Munakata postures up and lands a big shot to Greyjoy's brow. Munakata stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Greyjoy swivels though and keeps the full guard. Munakata postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Greyjoy is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Munakata, into his guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Munakata holds on and takes a little breather.
That's one minute gone in the round. Greyjoy trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Greyjoy has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Munakata to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Greyjoy is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Munakata pulls down on the head and he's put Greyjoy to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from France. No joy for Perez on that attempt. Perez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. France sprawls well initially but Perez persists and gets the takedown into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. France is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Perez is tapping! Great win for France!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, jab by Fong - just one landing. Fong lands a head shot.
Fighter is rocked! Fong is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Fighter flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Fighter is out cold! Fong holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Harry Fong! Harry Fong retains his bantamweight title! In his post fight interview, Harry Fong started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
