0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jervis Dobson! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bearer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dobson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Jervis Dobson has been cut. Dobson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bearer throws out the jab. Bearer lands a big uppercut and Dobson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Dobson looks OK. Bearer waves Dobson back to his feet! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dobson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bearer to the ground. Dobson is now in Bearer's guard. Dobson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Dobson preventing the sweep. Bearer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bearer working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dobson. Dobson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Dobson connects with a couple of short punches. Dobson pushes down on Bearer's leg and manages to get into half guard. Dobson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bearer is just riding it out for now. Dobson eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dobson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dobson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Bearer is refusing to be controlled, as Dobson sits in half guard. Dobson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Dobson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bearer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dobson. Dobson missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dobson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Dobson looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Dobson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bearer's head. Dobson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bearer! Dobson is in the full mount, landing strikes. Bearer is squirming around, avoiding Dobson's attempts to control the action. Dobson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dobson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Dobson lands a nice shot to the head.
It looks like Paul Bearer has been cut. Dobson raining down hammerfists from mount. The referee warns Bearer that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Bearer is rocked!
Paul Bearer's cut is getting worse. Dobson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yikes lands a left and a right that send Laser crashing to the mat, dazed. Yikes thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Laser is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Yikes connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Laser out cold! This one is over in a flash!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watermelon drives through with a takedown into Wallrium's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Watermelon sitting in guard here, content to control. Wallrium utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Watermelon trying to control the position from guard on top but Wallrium is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Watermelon controls from within his opponent's guard. Wallrium trying to keep a closed guard but Watermelon is proving a slippery customer.
Watermelon throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Wallrium really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Watermelon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Wallrium scores with the left hand. Watermelon knows he should have avoided that one.

Watermelon gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Watermelon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wallrium is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Watermelon, into his guard. Wallrium trying to control but Watermelon is working from the bottom. Wallrium is fighting to break Watermelon's control of his arms but Watermelon is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Wallrium wants to stand but Watermelon has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Watermelon pulls Wallrium in to control the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Watermelon pushes a forearm under Wallrium's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Wallrium is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

King quickly recovers to half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Savard content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. King looks like he's trying to stand up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Serge Savard was stalling too much, according to the referee. Savard fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches King on the side of the head.
It looks like Ryan King has been cut. King closes the distance but Savard moves to the side and Savard counters with a series of strikes. King will be more careful next time no doubt. Savard lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as King crumples to the floor! Savard milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

It looks like Tommy Sieve has been cut. El Hombre pulls guard effortlessly. El Hombre is looking to stand back up but Sieve counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by El Hombre. El Hombre wants to improve his position but Sieve is controlling well.
El Hombre tries to kick Sieve off in order to stand up. Sieve Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Sieve stands up. Sieve keeps the fight on the outside. El Hombre tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Sieve gets a double leg takedown into El Hombre's guard. El Hombre managing to control the position. El Hombre wants to stand but Sieve is controlling his posture from full guard. El Hombre throws a big elbow that misses. Sieve pulls El Hombre in close to prevent any damage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! El Hombre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sieve swivels though and keeps the full guard. El Hombre looking to sit in guard and control but Sieve gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. El Hombre knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sieve on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. El Hombre looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sieve is one step ahead there. Sieve is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Sieve scoring with some ground and pound. Sieve scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Sieve decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. El Hombre tries to clinch and Sieve counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Nacho El Hombre has been cut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. El Hombre tries to clinch up. El Hombre is looking to clinch. Sieve shoots in and drives through. El Hombre sprawls well. Nacho El Hombre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Sieve. Sieve closes this distance looking for a takedown but El Hombre circles away. El Hombre is looking to clinch but Sieve is avoiding it.
El Hombre connects with a high kick. Sieve shoots in looking for a takedown but El Hombre manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sieve's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Sieve tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. El Hombre manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sieve is looking to clinch but El Hombre is avoiding it.
Sieve lands with an uppercut that bounces El Hombre off the cage and back into range. Sieve shoots for a double leg takedown but El Hombre sprawls well. He's pushed Sieve's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. El Hombre gets in close and instigates a clinch. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sieve escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sieve tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but El Hombre swivels and escapes. Nacho El Hombre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. El Hombre tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Sieve takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy Sieve dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Back to the action!
El Hombre doesn't manage to clinch there - Sieve circles away.
El Hombre keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. El Hombre clinches up against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. El Hombre lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

El Hombre closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. El Hombre gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Sieve jumps guard but El Hombre turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Sieve breaks from the clinch.
El Hombre tries to clinch but Sieve is having none of it. Sieve moves in looking to clinch but El Hombre pushes him off. El Hombre rushes Sieve and presses him up against the cage. El Hombre tries to pull guard but Sieve forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. El Hombre working hard to break the clinch. Sieve has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics El Hombre uses from the top position. El Hombre tries to stand but Sieve is controlling from the bottom. Sieve looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but El Hombre is defending well. Sieve quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! El Hombre has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Sieve celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
