And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kaiohun Rayo!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rayo throws a hook to the side of Wallace's head but Wallace sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Wallace is looking to clinch but Rayo is avoiding it.
Wallace scoring well with a low kick there.
Rayo throws a shot from downtown. Wallace moves away and avoids it.
Wallace lands with a thumping leg kick.
Rayo swats away the attempt to clinch by Wallace.
Wallace throws a leg kick but Rayo sees it coming and moves out of range.
Wallace throws a leg kick but Rayo sees it coming and checks it nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rayo. Wallace does a little dance to reset his feet.
A nice inside leg kick there by Wallace. That's going to slow Rayo down.

Kaiohun Rayo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rayo scores with a sloppy right hand. Wallace should have avoided that one.
Rayo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Rayo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wallace walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Wallace feints and then cracks Rayo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rayo down.

Wallace throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Kaiohun Rayo has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wallace fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rayo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Wallace will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Rayo keeps the fight on the outside.
Wallace is looking to slow Rayo down with leg kicks.

Wallace throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Rayo stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Wallace follows into mount!

Wallace can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rayo is looking to escape.
Wallace lands a big elbow.
Wallace misses with a head shot.
Wallace is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Wallace postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Rayo badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Wallace around the waist but Wallace pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Wallace is the winner by TKO! Wallace jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tyroil Wallace!
After winning the bout, Tyroil Wallace thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McBride got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tangcalagan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McBride has managed to get both his arms back between Tangcalagan's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Johnny McBride will probably get the nod.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
