Seng lands a leg kick that knocks Mansfield off balance momentarily. Seng lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Seng jabs at Mansfield's body. No luck for Mansfield with that takedown attempt. Seng punishes Mansfield's body with a nice straight punch. Isiah Mansfield is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nice defenses there by Mansfield. Some bone on bone action there as Mansfield checks a low kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Seng is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Seng is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Mansfield stays in close to Seng's body and controls the position. Mansfield has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Seng is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Sopheap Seng has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mansfield trying to control but Seng is working from the bottom.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bambang throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Meyer was covering up waiting for the punch and Bambang finishes the takedown easily into guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Bambang trying to control but Meyer is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Meyer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bambang is aware though and is defending well. Bambang might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Meyer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bambang defends it easily. Bambang advances position into side control! Bambang postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Rich fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vanovcan sprawls well initially but Rich persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Still in half guard, Rich seems content to control. Vanovcan manages to get to full guard.

Tate slips a jab from Jeremy. Tate shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jeremy manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Tate tries to free his leg and advance position but Jeremy is retaining full guard. Tate throws an elbow that misses. Jeremy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tate's guard. Nice move by Jeremy! Tate wants to sweep here but Jeremy controlling him for the moment. Jeremy throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tate lands a jab. Jeremy throws a low kick but Tate avoids it. Tate walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Tate shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jeremy as he jumps to the side. Tate feints and as Jeremy raises his hands in defense, Tate changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tate pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jeremy is keeping the position for now. Tate missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jeremy lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tate! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jeremy putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Tate really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Tate is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Tate shoots in for a double leg but Jeremy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. enabling Jeremy to counter with a crisp jab. Tate pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Jeremy drives through and clinches with Tate against the cage.
