The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lam tries for a takedown but Eash sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

This one could be over very soon! Camal goes limp - he's gone! Bin Laden jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Uzumaki closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Uzumaki cracks Pappas with a big elbow.
Pappas is trying to get back to half guard.
Pappas tries to control but Uzumaki manages to take his back.
Pappas breaks Uzumaki's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Uzumaki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pappas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pappas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Uzumaki has his foot on Pappas's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pappas works his way back into a safe position though.

Pappas thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Pappas drops back looking for a leg! Uzumaki is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Uzumaki manages to kick Pappas off! Pappas jumps back into Uzumaki's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Uzumaki has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Pappas has gone for a leg lock! Uzumaki slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pappas's guard.
Uzumaki wants to control from the top but Pappas keeps moving.
Uzumaki pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pappas is keeping the position for now.

Pappas is looking to sinch up a triangle. Uzumaki throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Pappas's body to avoid the submission. Pappas has instead reached around Uzumaki's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Pappas arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
