Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Eash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and AJ Parks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that AJ Parks was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Eash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, AJ Parks! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parks shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Parks showed some decent athleticism there. Eash missing with punches from the bottom.
Eash makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Eash. Parks trying to control but Eash is working from the bottom. Eash throws a couple of heel strikes.
Eash wriggles free and stands up. Parks avoids the head kick by Eash.
No joy there for Parks, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eash closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Parks's guard. Eash trying to control but Parks is working from the bottom. Eash avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Parks keeping moving, preventing Eash from controlling successfully. Eash is pushing down on Parks's leg trying to pass to half guard. Parks is fighting to maintain full guard but Eash has managed to sneak the leg through. Parks wants to control but Eash is keeping busy and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Eash working Parks over with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eash works his foot free and advances to mount. Parks is bucking up trying to escape but Eash cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Eash controlling from mount. Parks is trying to escape the mount.

Eash takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Eash's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Eash controlling the pace for now. Parks tries to get back to half guard but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Eash dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Eash fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Eash fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Eash scores a takedown into full mount! Parks tries to get back to half guard but can't. Eash wants to control the pace but Parks is squirming around nicely. Eash connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parks wants to control but Eash is having none of it. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Eash cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's one minute gone in the round. Eash landing strikes from the mount. Parks is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Parks is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Parks is in a horrible position here. Eash smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Eash trying to control but Parks is having none of it. Eash cracks Parks with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Parks is bucking up trying to escape but Eash cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Eash looking to secure an arm triangle but Parks defends it well. Parks is looking to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eash tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mike Eash overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Parks is just holding on here. Eash manages to take his back.

Eash not allowing Parks to control his hands. Eash lands punches and elbows. Eash biding his time, looking for the opening.
Eash tightening his grip on Parks, looking for the choke. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Eash slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Mike Eash dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and Parks counters with a shoot takedown. Eash fights it but they end up in guard. Parks stopping the sweep attempt from Eash. Eash seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Parks trying to control but Eash is working from the bottom. Eash wants to stand and escape but Parks is having none of it. Parks trying to control but Eash is working from the bottom. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. AJ Parks hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Eash shoots in for a takedown but Parks shows good takedown defense.

Eash shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Parks's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Parks is trying to keep Eash in close.
Eash slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Eash pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Parks is keeping the position for now. Eash is stalling in the full guard. Eash gets to his feet - Parks follows without any prompting.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parks throws a body kick that misses. Parks changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Eash looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Eash on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Eash tries to get out of the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. You can see the frustration on Eash's face as Parks controls the position. Eash tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Parks wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Parks decides to stand back up. Parks throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Eash. Eash fails with a takedown attempt. Parks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Eash is fending him off so far but Parks persists. Nope, Eash circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parks misses with a head kick.

Parks uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Eash. A head kick misses from Parks. A punch combination from Eash misses. Eash doesn't manage to clinch there - Parks circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Eash fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Parks manages to avoid it. Parks fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Eash sprawls well initially but Parks persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Eash tries to get to full guard but Parks has control of the leg. Parks tries to stand but can't do so whilst Eash controls his leg. Eash is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Parks's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Parks's back! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Eash working for the choke. Eash tries to get the hooks in deep but Parks pushed the leg off.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to AJ Parks. Well Eash has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

That's better than Consolo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Bin Laden is bucking up trying to escape but Consolo cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Bin Laden sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Bin Laden moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Bin Laden is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Consolo defends well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Consolo tries to free his leg and advance position but Bin Laden is retaining full guard. Bin Laden tries to land a sweep but no joy. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bin Laden tries to land a sweep but no joy. Consolo is sitting in close to Bin Laden's body. Bin Laden has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Consolo is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Consolo is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Bin Laden.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Linikis wants to clinch but Oriley slips to the side and Oriley counters with a takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Oriley tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. A very excited looking Jamie Oriley made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

Pappas looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but De Oliveira is defending well. Pappas quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! De Oliveira has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Pappas celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
