The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maze looks to land a combination. Honda sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Maze tries to clinch

and Honda counters with a single leg into guard. Maze didn't expect that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Honda throws a big right hand that misses.
Maze is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Honda sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We're going to have a standup here because Victor Yudi Honda wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Honda dives in and grabs Maze's left leg, looking for a takedown. Maze pushes down on Honda's head and hops out.
Maze wants to clinch

Honda decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Maze, up you get!

Honda shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Honda is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Maze is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Maze flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Honda anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Maze and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Honda slips an arm under Maze chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Honda has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Honda is squeezing on Maze like an anaconda would it's prey. Maze fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Parker is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Heaton.

Heaton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Heaton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Heaton scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Heaton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Heaton is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Parker can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Parker sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Parker slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Parker has his foot on Heaton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Heaton works his way back into a safe position though.

Soldati tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Adair swivels and escapes.

Kudinov throws a lazy right hand but McQueen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kudinov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

McQueen is pushing down on Kudinov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kudinov is fighting to maintain full guard but McQueen has managed to sneak the leg through.
McQueen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kudinov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
