Bak defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lewis.
No luck for Lewis with that takedown attempt.
Lewis has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Ong Bak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bak is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bak lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bak.

Lewis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bak tries to avoid it but Lewis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bak to the ground. Bak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bak tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bak has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bak wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lewis keeps working.

Bak closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lewis did well to prevent Bak getting side control.

Bak is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Lewis has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bak is looking to defend but Lewis has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bak! Lewis pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bak taps out and this one is all over!

A very excited looking Sanex Lewis rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Rankka Ankka!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wes Wolfen!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ankka closes the distance and clinches up with Wolfen, looking for a takedown. Ankka pushes Wolfen against the cage but Wolfen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Sloppy strikes from Wolfen. Those never looked like landing.
Ankka swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wolfen lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ankka has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ankka and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
That kick from Ankka tenderised Wolfen's leg. Wolfen is trying to keep his angry face on.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wolfen connects with a nice short shot to Ankka's temple.

Ankka pushes Wolfen off looking to stand but Wolfen dives back in and keeps control.
Ankka is trying to get back to full guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rankka Ankka will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Ankka uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wolfen.
A punch lands to the side of Wolfen 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Ankka throws a leg kick but Wolfen checks it.
Ankka looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wolfen is fending him off so far but Ankka persists. Nope, Wolfen circles away and we're back to standing.

Rankka Ankka is winning the standup battle so far.
Ankka attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Ankka lands with a straight right. Wolfen didn't see that one coming.
Ankka ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Wolfen takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Wolfen on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Ankka misses the jab.
Ankka is looking to clinch but Wolfen is avoiding it.

Ankka scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wolfen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ankka wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Wolfen is not content to let Ankka control the position.

Ankka is looking to take a break and control but Wolfen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wolfen is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Wolfen is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Ankka has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Wolfen tries to lock up and control but Ankka gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Ankka with shots to the head and body - Wolfen looks very uncomfortable down there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wolfen is looking to improve his position but Ankka isn't that keen on the idea.
Wolfen is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Wolfen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Wolfen tries to hold on but Ankka postures up.

Ankka tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Ankka wants to control the pace but Wolfen is squirming around nicely.
Ankka scoring with strikes but Wolfen is staying in there.
Wolfen takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Ankka's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
