The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gazzola on the wrong end of a nice jab. Raimi swinging wildly here.
Raimi checks a leg kick. Left hook, right uppercut from Raimi.
It looks like Lennon Gazzola has been cut. Gazzola fails with the takedown and Raimi counters with a good low kick that Gazzola was not able to check. Gazzola shoots and misses and Raimi counters with a stiff right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Raimi throws a head kick but Gazzola moves out of range.
Gazzola takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Raimi ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Gazzola rushes Raimi and presses him up against the cage. Raimi gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Gazzola blocking the ground and pound attempt from Raimi. Gazzola is trying is best to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gazzola has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Raimi is working away from the top position though. Gazzola is not content to let Raimi control the position. Raimi is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gazzola defends it well. Raimi working over Gazzola with some ground and pound. Gazzola looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Raimi connects with a nice short shot to Gazzola's temple.
The cut above Lennon Gazzola's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Raimi lands with a punch from half guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Silva looks to land a combination but Dos Santos avoids it well. Dos Santos throws a series of strikes that have Silva backpedaling.
Silva throws a right and a left that Dos Santos avoids nicely. Dos Santos scores with a body shot.
Silva could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Jab by Dos Santos. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Silva has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Silva there as he acknowledges the shot. Silva swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dos Santos counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Silva falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!

Borge landing strikes from the mount and Urso is in trouble! Borge with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice inside leg kick there by Choco. That's going to slow Gracie down. Gracie looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Gracie has his takedown stuffed and Choco counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Choco. Choco is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Choco trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. Choco sitting in guard here, content to control. Choco wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Choco's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Choco lands a couple of elbows. Choco trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Choco trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. This has been an exciting period of action! Choco postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Choco might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Choco wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Choco passes into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Choco in particular looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Choco gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Choco apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Choco changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gracie looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Choco working the head with strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Choco wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working. Choco working the head with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martins gets a takedown into half guard. Lima is looking for a sweep. Martins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Martins wants to stand up but Lima is controlling the position.

Martins has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lima is proving hard to escape from. Martins stands and steps away. Lima gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Martins moves into the clinch. Martins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Martins shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lima eats them both and turns towards Martins to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Martins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

He has the arm isolated but Lima is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Fabiano Martins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lima gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Martins fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lima to the ground. Martins is now in Lima's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lima is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Martins is aware though and is defending well. Martins works a leg free and moves into half guard. Lima tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Martins has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Lima tries to lock up and control but Martins gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Lima takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Martins is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lima to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lima shrugs it off. Lima really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Silva scoring with some ground and pound. Silva lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Rodriguez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Silva controls the pace. Silva pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rodriguez is keeping the position for now. Silva is sitting in close to Rodriguez's body. Rodriguez has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Silva is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Silva is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Rodriguez.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bighorn misses with the combination.
Bighorn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Maci circles away quickly and effectively. A punch combination from Maci misses. Maci tries to clinch but Bighorn is having none of it. Maci rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bighorn moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Maci looks gassed! Maci throws a right hand that Bighorn ducks under and follows up with a left that Bighorn also avoids with ease. Bighorn lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Mario Maci has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bighorn scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Maci doesn't seem bothered though. Maci drops his hands for a split second and Bighorn immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Maci face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Bighorn follows up with a right hand that knocks Maci into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
