The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris misses with a wild body shot. Harris throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Harris avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Minotauro scores with a takedown into Harris's guard. Minotauro must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Minotauro throwing strikes but missing. Harris working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Minotauro. Minotauro wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving. Harris trying to keep a closed guard but Minotauro is proving a slippery customer.
Harris might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Minotauro wants to control but Harris postures up. Harris wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Minotauro, who protects the arm well. Minotauro is looking for a sweep. This has been an exciting period of action! Harris is working to tighten is grip on Minotauro's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Minotauro has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Harris is really squeezing tight and eventually Minotauro passes out! Harris breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machida closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Cavalcante drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Machida crunches a lovely knee into Cavalcante's ribcage. Cavalcante blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Machida is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Cavalcante's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Matt Machida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Machida throws a head kick that half lands.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cavalcante takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Machida pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cavalcante has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Machida clinches with his opponent.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Cavalcante trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cavalcante accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Cavalcante drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Cavalcante as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Volanov. Volanov throws a body kick that misses. Volanov moves to clinch but TriX breaks away and TriX counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. TriX throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Volanov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and TriX defends well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Horrible takedown by TriX or perhaps it was just good defense by Volanov which made him look bad. Volanov goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Volanov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. TriX manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Volanov shoots in for a takedown but TriX shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Volanov wants to clinch and TriX counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by TriX. Volanov jumps guard but TriX stands there with Volanov around his waist. Volanov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

TriX is working an open guard so Volanov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. TriX shoots in for a takedown but Volanov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mike TriX is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Volanov tries to clinch but TriX moves away and TriX counters with a shoot takedown. Volanov fights it but they end up in guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! TriX stands up over Volanov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Volanov is looking to stand up but TriX isn't so interested in that idea.

He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. TriX sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Volanov's guard. Volanov wants to get back to full guard. TriX winds up and cracks Volanov with a swinging punch to the side of the head. TriX is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Volanov! TriX is landing with some decent strikes but Volanov is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. TriX postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Volanov looks a forlorn figure.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doo Man throws a hook but Draper avoids it easily. Draper throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Nice defenses there by Doo Man . Draper misses with a kick to the body and Doo Man counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Doo Man avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Draper chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Doo Man can pounce on him.

and Stresemann cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Stresemann bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Renato misses with a hook. Stresemann ducked under it nicely. A big left from Renato misses. A combination from Renato does no damage. Renato stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Stresemann misses with the combination.
Stresemann looks to land a right hand but Renato moved out of range. Stresemann has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Stresemann there as he acknowledges the shot. Renato takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Stresemann shoots in looking for a takedown but Renato manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stresemann's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Renato darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Renato lands a slapping body shot.
