Thompson misses with a double jab

and Mctanned counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Mctanned stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thompson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mctanned is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Thompson wants to stand up but Mctanned is controlling him.
Mctanned passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Mctanned is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Thompson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Mctanned gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Thompson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Mctanned lets go of the hold and Thompson can pop his arm back in it's socket.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angelo shoots in for a takedown but Cloltran shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Cloltran ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Angelo moves away.
A solid leg kick lands there for Cloltran.

Angelo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Angelo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cloltran manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Angelo has Cloltran in his guard.

Angelo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cloltran stacks Angelo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cloltran!
