The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson Jr takes the fight into the clinch. Johnson Jr drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Johnson Jr swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Johnson Jr blocks a body shot from Troy. Troy is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Johnson Jr pulls him back up using the underhooks. Troy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Johnson Jr walks away with a smile on his face. Troy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Nice takedown defense from Troy. No joy for Johnson Jr on that attempt. Johnson Jr shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Troy should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Troy is trying to maintain the position but Johnson Jr is very close to passing his half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Slick Johnson Jr. Johnson Jr throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Troy has control of Johnson Jr's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Johnson Jr regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Johnson Jr is trying to stand up. Johnson Jr is breathing heavily.

That was a close round but I would say that Slick Johnson Jr will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Troy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Johnson Jr's guard. Troy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Troy moves into full mount! Johnson Jr won't be happy about that! OK we're going to have a standup here. John Troy hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Johnson Jr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Troy scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Troy tries for a takedown but Johnson Jr sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Troy is looking to clinch but Johnson Jr is avoiding it.

Johnson Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Troy on the ground. Troy has a closed guard, preventing Johnson Jr from standing up. Johnson Jr preventing the sweep. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Munch feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Munch accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Munch throwing strikes but missing. Cadmea looking for a sweep. Not yet Cadmea, not yet. Cadmea might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Cadmea trying to keep a closed guard but Munch is proving a slippery customer.

I think Brophy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out. Grant Brophy looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hathaway lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hathaway. Brophy looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Hathaway closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Grant Brophy has been cut. A head kick misses from Brophy. Hathaway shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Brophy eats them both and turns towards Hathaway to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hathaway throws a right hand that Brophy ducks under and follows up with a left that Brophy also avoids with ease. Hathaway swinging wildly here.
The crowd cheers as Hathaway lands an impressive looking overhand right. Brophy doesn't seem phased though. Brophy takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Brophy is rocked! Hathaway throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Oh Brophy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hathaway misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hathaway closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Brophy out cold! Brophy corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Daniel Hathaway! An out of breath Daniel Hathaway thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.

Hernandez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wonka paws at him with a jab and circles away. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hernandez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wonka has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wonka and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Wonka misses with a body shot.
Wonka shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hernandez's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Wonka tries to free his leg and advance position but Hernandez is retaining full guard. Hernandez is looking for a triangle but Wonka pushes his legs off easily.

Wonka tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wonka has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hernandez is not content to let Wonka control the position. Wonka stands up and beckons Hernandez to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hernandez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wonka as he avoids it easily. Hernandez ducks under a wild hook from Wonka. Wonka dives in and scores a takedown into Hernandez's guard. Wonka missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Wonka passes easily into side control. Nice work. Wonka landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Wonka has hold of Hernandez's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hernandez tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Wonka cranks the arm and Hernandez screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hernandez, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Estiarte tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Poulter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Estiarte tries a low kick but Poulter avoids it. Poulter lands a leg kick that knocks Estiarte off balance momentarily. Estiarte misses with a leg kick and Poulter counters with a body kick that stops Estiarte in his tracks momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
