2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Petria McTroo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carlos Virtanen! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McTroo misses the shot to the body. McTroo throws out a leg kick but Virtanen moves out of range and McTroo only half commits. McTroo scores with a body shot.
Virtanen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McTroo to the mat! McTroo manages to get full guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. McTroo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Virtanen is looking to work some ground and pound but McTroo has wrist control. McTroo wants to sweep but no luck. McTroo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Virtanen on the ground. McTroo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McTroo working away from the top, dropping strikes. Virtanen looks winded! McTroo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
McTroo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Virtanen's face.
Virtanen is in all sorts of trouble here.
McTroo looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Virtanen covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tate stuffs the takedown attempt from Davis. Davis gets slowly back to his feet. Tate catches Davis napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Davis to the canvas!
It looks like Vin Davis has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tate trying to control the position from guard on top but Davis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Davis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tate can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Davis pushes a forearm under Tate's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Tate is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Smith throws a series of punches but Roberts avoids them all with ease. Roberts dives in and scores a takedown into Smith's guard. Smith is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Roberts stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard. Smith is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Roberts is aware though and is defending well. Roberts slips nicely into half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Smith is looking for a sweep. Roberts is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Smith is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Roberts is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Smith! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Smith sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Roberts works his way into full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roberts punching from mount but Smith doing a good job of avoiding damage. Roberts throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Roberts is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Smith to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Smith shrugs it off. Roberts with the ground and pound from mount.

Roberts has control of Smith's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Smith regains control of the situation pretty easily.

He has the arm isolated but Smith is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Smith gets back to half guard. Smith looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Smith looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Smith looking for a kimura from the bottom but Roberts passes into side control! Smith is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Roberts has just dragged him back down to the mat. Roberts has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Roberts is squeezing on Smith like an anaconda would it's prey. Smith fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Calderon as Selmy shoots in. Selmy tries to sprawl but Calderon drives through with a takedown into half guard. Selmy is looking to control Calderon's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Selmy avoid being mounted? Calderon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Calderon working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Selmy blocking the ground and pound attempt from Calderon. Calderon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benito lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as DeFrank backs up against the cage.
Benito's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Benito duly obliges. DeFrank tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. DeFrank has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Benito finds it's way round the side to connect with DeFrank's head. DeFrank fails in his attempt to clinch. DeFrank looks to score with a jab to the body but Benito is just out of range. DeFrank wants to land a leg kick but Benito is out of range. DeFrank tries to clinch but fails miserably and Benito counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! DeFrank shoots in for a takedown but Benito shows good takedown defense. Will DeFrank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Benito keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Benito looks to land a combination. DeFrank sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Benito feints a jab promting DeFrank to slip. Benito then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. DeFrank slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. DeFrank dives in and grabs Benito's left leg, looking for a takedown. Benito pushes down on DeFrank's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will DeFrank. That's going to take a lot out of him. DeFrank tries to close the distance and clinch up but Benito swats him away and circles back towards the center. DeFrank fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Benito works over DeFrank's head and body with a nice combination. Benito with a body punch. A glancing blow. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for DeFrank. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. DeFrank gets in close and instigates a clinch. Benito escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
DeFrank tries to score a power double leg takedown but Benito sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten DeFrank somewhat. DeFrank shoots in for a double leg but Benito sprawls well. Benito won't allow DeFrank to sweep him here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Benito wants to stand but DeFrank has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Amorsolo Benito is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. DeFrank working a defensive guard but Benito manages to pass into side control anyway.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel shoots in but no luck this time. Lunlana throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lunlana throws a front kick aimed at Steel's knee but Steel avoids it well. Nipon Lunlana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lunlana misses with a body kick. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Steel is defended easily by Lunlana. Steel avoids a kick to the body.

Steel drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lunlana dives on top into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Steel working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Lunlana has passed into half guard!
Lunlana tries to stand but can't do so whilst Steel controls his leg. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Steel is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lunlana's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lunlana's back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tanaka pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. A nice elbow there by Tanaka. Tanaka lands a big shot there that rocks Jabouin but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Tanaka wants to control the pace but Jabouin is squirming around nicely. Tanaka has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Tanaka throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
