0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yasser Arafat! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kazama is defended easily by Arafat. Kazama doesn't succeed with the takedown and Arafat connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A lazy left from Arafat finds it's target. Arafat scores with the left hand. Kazama knows he should have avoided that one. Kazama throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Arafat misses the shot to the body. Kazama shoots in for a takedown but Arafat shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raita Kazama.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boom Jr dives in and grabs Kline's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kline pushes down on Boom Jr's head and hops out. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Boom Jr. Nice sprawl there from Kline as Boom Jr shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Boom Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boom Jr closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kline's guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Kline can't keep his opponent in guard - Boom Jr advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kline really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boom Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Boom Jr wants to pass to mount but Kline is defending the position.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takayoshi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Saltzman as he avoids it easily. Takayoshi wants to clinch
and Saltzman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Takayoshi's guard now. Saltzman throws a big elbow that misses. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Saltzman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Takayoshi doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Saltzman is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Saltzman working some strikes from top position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Saltzman is working Takayoshi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Saltzman won't allow Takayoshi to sweep him here.

Saltzman throws an elbow that misses. Takayoshi uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Saltzman's guard. Nice move by Takayoshi! Saltzman working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Takayoshi. Saltzman keeping moving, preventing Takayoshi from controlling successfully.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Takayoshi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Saltzman is fending him off so far but Takayoshi persists. Nope, Saltzman circles away and we're back to standing. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Saltzman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Takayoshi pinned against the cage. Takayoshi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Saltzman shoots in looking for a takedown. Takayoshi tries to sprawl out of it but Saltzman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Takayoshi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Takayoshi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Saltzman shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Takayoshi is trying to defend but Saltzman finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Saltzman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Takayoshi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Takayoshi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Saltzman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Saltzman's back!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Takayoshi throwing wild punches that miss their target. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Takayoshi somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Takayoshi working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Saltzman is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Takayoshi has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Saltzman taps out!
