The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmit throws a series of punches but Mina moves out of range.
Schmit misses with a wild combination.
Mina throws a head kick that Schmit semi-blocks.
Some wild striking there from Schmit.
Mina throws a nice outside leg kick.
Mina lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Schmit throws a right and a left that both miss.
Schmit throws a looping overhand right but Mina ducks down to avoid it.
Mina thumps Schmit with a low kick.
Mina lands with a kick to the temple. Schmit shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mina delivers a nice body kick.
Mina throws a quick inside leg kick.
Schmit throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Schmit lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mina circles away quickly and effectively.
Schmit looks gassed!
Mina lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Nice body kick there by Mina.
Mina moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mina feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Schmit's calf.

Mina feints and then cracks Schmit's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Schmit down.
Mina lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mina goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Darne Schmit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schmit on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Mina circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Schmit drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Mina follows Schmit to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Jansen tries to clinch but Riley moves out of range.
Riley steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jansen. That one must have hurt.
Riley closes the distance and clinches up with Jansen, looking for a takedown. Riley pushes Jansen against the cage but Jansen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jansen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The fight stays on the outside here - Riley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jansen throws a right and a left that Riley avoids nicely.
Jansen throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Jansen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Riley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jansen has managed to get both his arms back between Riley's legs - danger averted.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ron Jansen will probably get the nod.
