The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marcello throws a one two combo.
Marcello scores with a jab to the body. A left and a right from Marcello both land. Nice combination. Marcello jabs Fonseca right on the nose. Fonseca blinks but takes it well. No joy there for Marcello, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Marcello misses with a jab, cross combination.
Fonseca feints and as Marcello raises his hands in defense, Fonseca changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Fonseca is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Fonseca looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fonseca accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Marcello keeping full guard, as Fonseca tries to pass. Fonseca in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Fonseca trying to control the position from guard on top but Marcello is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We're going to have a standup here because Guilherme Fonseca wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Marcello tries to bum rush Fonseca with a series of wild strikes but Fonseca uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Fonseca showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Marcello.
Fonseca has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Marcello finds it's way round the side to connect with Fonseca's head. Fonseca changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Marcello looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Fonseca wants to lay and pray for a moment but Marcello keeps working. Marcello is letting Fonseca control him for a moment. Fonseca cracks Marcello with a big elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fonseca decides to stand up, so the ref orders Marcello to his feet. Marcello works the jab nicely. Fonseca closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Fonseca working away. Fonseca wants to lay and pray for a moment but Marcello keeps working.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Guilherme Fonseca just wasn't active enough. Fonseca has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Marcello throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fonseca stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Marcello jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
No joy there for Fonseca, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Fonseca shoots in and gets a takedown into Marcello's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fonseca eats them both and turns towards Marcello to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Marcello's corner calls for a 1-2. Marcello obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Marcello feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fonsecas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Marcello fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fonseca looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Nice straight punches there by Marcello. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Marcello. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Guilherme Fonseca will probably get the nod. That's time! Fonseca's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Fonseca seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Marcello does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Marcello really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fonseca. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Marcello is staying active underneath Fonseca, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Fonseca has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Fonseca looking to control but Marcello is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fonseca stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Marcello scores with a punch to the head. Marcello dips to his left and cracks Fonseca with an uppercut! Fonseca closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fonseca is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Marcello is just riding it out for now. Fonseca eventually gives up the hold. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fonseca wants to free his trapped foot but Marcello is holding on for dear life with his legs.
And that's the end of the fight! Guilherme Fonseca showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fonseca, winning every round. Will the judges agree? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomi looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Patrick looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Gomi misses with a series of wild punches.
Patrick throws a jab but it's blocked by Gomi. Gomi slips under a jab. Gomi looks for the body kick but Patrick saw that one coming. Gomi uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Patrick. Gomi misses with a body kick. Gomi looks to score with a jab to the body but Patrick is just out of range. Patrick throws a jab but it's blocked by Gomi. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Patrick showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gomi.

Gomi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Patrick moves away. Patrick waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gomi. Gomi lands with a nice body punch. Gomi looks to land a body kick but Patrick moved away.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Thomas throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Thomas looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Thomas manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Howard moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Howard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Howard lands a jab. Howard wants to clinch. Silva lands with a nice combination. Howard backs away looking to recover.

and Howard counters by moving into the clinch. Silva looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Silva blocks a jab. Howard takes the fight into the clinch. Howard misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Howard cracks Silva with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Silva lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Howard tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Silva counters with a nice kick to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Some wild striking there from Silva.

Nice uppercut lands for Howard. That snapped Silva's head back.

Howard's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Howard was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.

John Howard seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Howard tries a body shot but Silva blocks it.

A looping hook to the body misses from Howard. Silva does a little dance to reset his feet. Howard takes a swing at Silva's ribcage but misses. Howard misses with the combination.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Howard lands a slapping body shot.
Thor Silva is winning the standup battle so far. Good standup being displayed there by Silva as he connects with a hook. John Howard has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Thor Silva is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Silva scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circle momentarily. Ortiz darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. The fight stays on the outside here - Gustafsson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ortiz connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Ortiz bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gustafsson's head. Ortiz thuds his right hand into Gustafsson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ortiz keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Williams misses with a wild body shot. Williams throws a combination that misses and Hathaway counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Williams is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hathaway connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Hathaway slips under a jab. Hathaway thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Williams if he has to take too many more of those.

BAM! Hathaway delivers a spinning backfist that drops Williams like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
