Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carson Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Minoru Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Suzuki's choice of entrance music: Kaze ni Nare. Minoru Suzuki struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Carson Wood is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carson Wood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Minoru Suzuki! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wood misses with a few strikes there.
Suzuki closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Wood's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Suzuki is pushing down on Wood's leg trying to pass to half guard. Wood is fighting to maintain full guard but Suzuki has managed to sneak the leg through. Suzuki is just content to waste time from the top position. Wood takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Suzuki avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Suzuki prevents Wood from getting back to his feet. Suzuki drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wood dives on top into guard. Suzuki has control of Wood's left arm, preventing Wood from doing any damage. Suzuki kicks Wood off and gets to his feet. Suzuki defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wood. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wood misses with a double jab.
Suzuki shoots in for a double leg but Wood sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wood tries to clinch but Suzuki moves out of range. Wood tries to clinch but fails miserably and Suzuki counters with a shoot takedown. Wood fights it but they end up in guard. Suzuki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wood swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Suzuki goes for an armbar but Wood turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Wood. Wood could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Wood postures up.
Suzuki bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wood's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Wood throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Wood is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Suzuki moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Wood has worked his arm free - good work by Wood!
Suzuki tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Suzuki is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wood is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Carson Wood has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Suzuki is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wood knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Minoru Suzuki. I've got Suzuki winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Cooper jumps guard but Lucas turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Cooper tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Lucas tries to bum rush Cooper with a series of wild strikes but Cooper uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Raven Lucas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
