The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Maximus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jackson swinging wildly here.
Maximus tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Jackson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Jackson is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maximus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maximus swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jackson wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Maximus's closed guard. He's half up but Maximus has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Maximus pivots and extends the arm, Jackson falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Maximus! Well done that man!

Crow takes one on the button.
Crow walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Knowles checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Knowles fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Knowles throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Crow.
Crow looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Crow throws out a leg kick but Knowles moves out of range and Crow only half commits.

and Knowles counters with a thumping low kick.

Crow fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Knowles sprawls well initially but Crow persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Crow takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Lanastar lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Dael get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Dael stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Lanastar runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
