Mouse gets caught napping as Best dives in and scores a takedown. Mouse manages to retain guard.

Best is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Best wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Mouse.

Mouse goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Best escapes and is now in half guard on top.

Best looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mouse with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Best is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Best slips a nice elbow through Mouse's hands, connecting with Mouse's forehead.

Best is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Cappo gets underhooks to prevent Thompson's takedown attempt.

Cappo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thompson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Cappo has Thompson up against the cage in a clinch.
Cappo lands a nice elbow.
Thompson is breathing heavily.
Thompson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Thompson takes an elbow to the temple.
Cappo lands an elbow inside that Thompson shrugs off.

Cappo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Cappo is pressed up against the cage. Thompson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cappo down to the mat. Cappo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Hunter Thompson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Cappo clinches up with Thompson and pushes him back against the cage.
Cappo creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Thompson's defenses.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hunter Thompson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ray Cappo decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
