Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bamboo Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Jones!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a series of punches but Man avoids them all with ease.
Jones stalks Man and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Man's face. Man staggers backwards, shaken.
Man tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes.
Jones avoids the head kick by Man.
Man fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Man misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bamboo Man. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.
Man shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.
Man takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jones is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Man's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Man's back!

Jones throws a strike but Man rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Man advances position into side control!

Bamboo Man overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Man in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Man lands a big shot there that rocks Jones but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Man. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Man trying to control but Jones is having none of it.
Jones takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Man takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Jones tries to hold on but Man pushes him away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Man with the ground and pound from mount.
The referee warns Jones that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bamboo Man will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Man. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Man shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jones motions for Man to come forward. Jones throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jones throws out a leg kick but Man moves out of range and Jones only half commits.

Jones feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

James Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jones tries to bum rush Man with a series of wild strikes but Man uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Jones lands with a nice combination. Man backs away looking to recover.
Man shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Man circles away quickly and effectively.

James Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Man throws a head kick that half lands.
Jones wants to slow Man down by chopping away at his legs.

Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Man sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat.

Man shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jones throws a good cross that connects.

Man connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Jones to the floor! Man dives in looking for the finish!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Man lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Man connects with a bit shot that sees Jones covering up! More strikes from Man and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Man is our winner by TKO!

After the fight, Bamboo Man was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
