The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Animai uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dodger.
Animai decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Ground and pound from Animai. Animai scoring with strikes to the body and head. Animai lands with a punch from half guard. Dodger pushes Animai off looking to stand but Animai dives back in and keeps control.
Dodger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Animai on the ground. Animai lands with a punch from half guard. Dodger is looking to regain full guard. Davis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Davis is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Heed throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Davis is trying to control the position but Heed postures up. Heed missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Davis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We're going to have a standup here because Brad Davis wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Davis has a takedown stuffed. Davis stuffs the takedown attempt from Heed. Heed gets slowly back to his feet. Davis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. That's four minutes gone in the round. Hall is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Lister is staying active. Lister controlling from mount. Hall is in all sorts of trouble here.

Hall is desperately trying to improve his position but Lister has a good base and remains in mount. Lister is landing with some decent strikes but Hall is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hall pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Lister taps out and this one is all over!
