Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Hades! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bastien Le Nogue! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hades lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Hades fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Le Nogue has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Hades lands a jab-cross combination. Le Nogue scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Hades has one foot on Le Nogue's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Hades throws a big shot that misses. Sam Hades seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Le Nogue takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Le Nogue walks into a stiff left hand from Hades. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Le Nogue tries for a takedown but Hades sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Le Nogue gets a takedown into half guard. Le Nogue takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Hades desperately trying to maintain half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hades is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hades lands with an overhand left. Le Nogue takes a swing at Hades's ribcage but misses. Hades connects with a nice looking jab.
Le Nogue is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hades gets caught napping as Le Nogue dives in and scores a takedown. Hades manages to retain guard. Hades keeping full guard, as Le Nogue tries to pass. Hades looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Le Nogue's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Le Nogue lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hades has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hades working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Le Nogue doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Le Nogue manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Le Nogue trying to control the position from guard on top but Hades is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Le Nogue postures up and lands a big shot to Hades's brow. Hades is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Hades has momentary wrist control but Le Nogue slips an elbow through the middle. Le Nogue working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Le Nogue stops Hades from standing up. Hades wants to sweep but no luck. Hades will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Le Nogue pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hades is keeping the position for now. Hades looking for a sweep. Not yet Hades, not yet. Hades keeping full guard, as Le Nogue tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Le Nogue stands and throws Hades's legs to the side, diving into side control. Hades managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Le Nogue.
Hades manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Hades is pressing down on Le Nogue's thigh, looking to free his foot. Le Nogue is holding on for now. Hades thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Le Nogue's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hades thows a huge punch but Le Nogue dodges it nicely.
Le Nogue tries to kick Hades off but Hades keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Le Nogue is refusing to be controlled, as Hades sits in half guard. Hades not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hades not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hades missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hades not landing any meaningful shots this time. Hades controlling the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sam Hades will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Le Nogue fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Le Nogue changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hades tries to avoid it but Le Nogue manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hades to the ground. Hades escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Le Nogue with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hades to score with a decent uppercut. Hades with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hades misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hades slaps away a takedown attempt from Le Nogue, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sam Hades has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bastien Le Nogue. Le Nogue tries for a takedown but Hades sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Le Nogue takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Hades lands with a good body shot. Le Nogue slips a jab from Hades. Hades throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Le Nogue closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hades circles away. Le Nogue's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hades connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Le Nogue scrambles back to his feet. Hades feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Le Nogue preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Hades is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sam Hades. Hades stuffs the takedown. Hades scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Le Nogue doesn't seem bothered though. Hades fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Hades lands a slapping body shot.

Hades lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Hades takes a swing at Le Nogue's ribcage but misses. Le Nogue feints and as Hades raises his hands in defense, Le Nogue changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Le Nogue trying to control but Hades is working from the bottom. Hades tries to land a sweep but no joy. Le Nogue lands a couple of decent looking shots. Le Nogue lands a couple of digs. Hades is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hades has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. Hades throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hades is looking to advance position but Le Nogue won't allow it. Hades seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Le Nogue does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Hades prevents Le Nogue from improving his position. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Le Nogue is defended easily by Hades. Hades throws a hook to the side of Le Nogue's head but Le Nogue sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hades throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hades is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Le Nogue shoots in but Hades avoids the takedown attempt easily. Hades is looking to score with low kicks. Bastien Le Nogue is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Le Nogue shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hades pinned against the cage. Hades gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Sam Hades has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bastien Le Nogue. That's one minute gone in the round. A momentary lapse in concentration from Hades enables Le Nogue to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hades manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Le Nogue takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hades working a defensive guard here.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Hades bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Le Nogue's guard. Hades is stalling in the full guard. Hades looking to pass the guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Sam Hades wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Le Nogue takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Hades shoots in and drives through. Le Nogue sprawls well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Le Nogue shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hades as he jumps to the side. Le Nogue takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Le Nogue fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hades lands a nice shot that snaps Le Nogue's head back.

Le Nogue closes the distance and clinches. Le Nogue breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hades lands a slapping body shot.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hades lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Le Nogue has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Le Nogue and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Le Nogue shoots and misses and Hades counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Le Nogue tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hades sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Le Nogue somewhat. Hades lands a nice shot to the body.
Le Nogue has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Jab from Hades. Hades fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Horrible takedown by Hades or perhaps it was just good defense by Le Nogue which made him look bad. Le Nogue shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hades paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Hades fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Le Nogue on the side of the head. Bastien Le Nogue has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hades defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Le Nogue. Hades cracks Le Nogue with an open hand slap. Hades misses with a leg kick. Hades gets a clinch. Le Nogue is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hades is keeping busy. Hades stalling in the clinch.
Hades lands a nice uppercut. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hades is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Hades wants to get back to striking at distance but Le Nogue won't allow it.

Stanfield cracks Wufie with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Marlo Stanfield is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Stanfield lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Wufie is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Stanfield misses with a leg kick and Wufie counters with a thumping low kick. Wufie takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Stanfield has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Wufie. Stanfield darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Zhang Wufie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Stanfield. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Draft moves in looking to clinch but Gibbons pushes him off. Draft rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gibbons moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Draft rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gibbons connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Louey Draft has been cut. Draft walks into a jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gibbons lands a slapping body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gibbons, as that shot connected.
Gibbons avoids the body shot from Draft.
Draft throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Draft shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Louey Draft seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gibbons lands with a straight right. Draft didn't see that one coming. Gibbons defending well as Draft loads up on a big left hand. Gibbons connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Draft looks to score with a jab to the body but Gibbons is just out of range.

Louey Draft's cut is getting worse. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gibbons looks to land a combination but Draft avoids it well. Gibbons dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Draft falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gibbons counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Gibbons takes one to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gibbons scores with a nice head shot. Gibbons defending well as Draft loads up on a big left hand. Gibbons throws a hook but Draft blocks it. Draft slips a jab from Gibbons. Draft shoots in for a takedown but Gibbons shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Gibbons slips a straight right by Draft. Draft scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Gibbons gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Gibbons is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Draft is controlling him. Draft in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gibbons is looking to stand up but Draft isn't so interested in that idea. Gibbons wriggles free and stands up. A looping hook to the body misses from Draft. Gibbons does a little dance to reset his feet. Gibbons looks to land a left hand but Draft moved out of range nicely. Gibbons misses with an uppercut. Gibbons might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Draft has Gibbons up against the cage in a clinch.
Draft is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Gibbons tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Draft swivels and escapes. Gibbons bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Draft's head backwards. Draft jabbing away but nothing is landing. Draft tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gibbons sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Draft somewhat. Draft stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Draft wants it to stay on the feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Draft keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Draft tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gibbons swats him away and circles back towards the center. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Draft fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Draft tries for a takedown but Gibbons sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Gibbons digs a good body shot into Draft's ribs. Draft dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Draft shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gibbons sprawls well. Gibbons wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Draft gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Louey Draft. That's going to take a lot out of him. A right-left combo lands from Draft. Draft is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Draft shoots in but no luck this time. Gibbons moves into the clinch. Draft has Gibbons pressed against the cage, preventing Gibbons from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Draft drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gibbons gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Draft turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Draft manages to end up in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Draft tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Gibbons dodges the ground and pound from Draft. Draft fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Draft working away. Draft throws a strike aimed at the side of Gibbons's head but Gibbons avoids it well. Gibbons regains half guard, as Draft was trying to land strikes. Draft trying to pass the guard but Gibbons defending well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gibbons on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Draft missing with the ground and pound from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gibbons looks hurt but is still standing! Draft lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Gibbons falls down and Draft dives in with a huge hammer fist! Gibbons's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Draft runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

Hunt tries to clinch but fails miserably and Sau Sei counters with a huge left! Hunt is in big trouble! He's backing up but Sau Sei isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Hunt from any more damage. A dominating finish by Sau Sei!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donelly connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Aquino closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Donelly to the mat! Donelly manages to get full guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Donelly is pulling down on Aquino's head to control his posture. Aquino tries to free his leg and advance position but Donelly is retaining full guard. Aquino throws an elbow that misses. Donelly uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Aquino's guard. Nice move by Donelly! Donelly stopping the sweep attempt from Aquino. Donelly tries to stand but Aquino is controlling from the bottom.
