1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Carwin! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Lou da Vinci and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut lands for Carwin. That snapped Arloski's head back.
Carwin pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Nice shot by Carwin. Carwin goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Carwin throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Decent striking displayed by Carwin there. Carwin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Carwin working hard to break the clinch. Arloski can't get the takedown.
Carwin scores with a hook to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Carwin is trying to force a seperation but Arloski has the dominant position. Carwin is trying to break free. Carwin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Arloski walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Carwin throws a combination. Arloski tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Carwin smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Carwin keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Carwin throws a nice looking combination but Arloski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Carwin has closed the distance and engaged Arloski in a clinch.

Carwin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Arloski is breathing heavily. Arloski shoots in looking for a takedown. Carwin tries to sprawl out of it but Arloski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carwin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carwin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Carwin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Arloski is trying to break the clinch but Carwin is controlling him. Carwin lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Carwin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Carwin with a hook. Carwin scores with a decent looking hook. Carwin cracks Arloski with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Carwin lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Andrei Arloski has been cut. Carwin connects with a good right hand that stumbles Arloski. Arloski circles away out of range and recomposes himself. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carwin lands with a straight right. Arloski didn't see that one coming. Carwin throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Carwin darts in and clinches Arloski up against the cage. Carwin breaks the clinch.
Carwin lands a jab. Carwin is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Arloski had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Good shot there by Carwin.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carwin throws a left that rocks Arloski and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Carwin dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Arloski regain composure!
Arloski is rocked! The crowd goes nuts as Carwin knocks Arloski out cold with a massive hammerfist! Carwin Jumps to his feet and climbs on top of the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bautista shoots in and drives through. Loach sprawls well. Loach throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Bautista fails with an attempt to clinch.
Loach stuffs the takedown. Bautista shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Loach as he avoids it easily. Clown Loach has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wally Bautista. Loach shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Loach breaks from Bautista's wrist control and lands an elbow. Loach pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swift doesn't manage to clinch there - Lafay circles away.

Lafay could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Swift tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lafay knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Swift thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lafay's head. Lafay flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Swift throwing strikes from guard but Lafay blocks nicely.

Swift in side control, throwing shots but Lafay defends. Lafay wants to control but Swift postures up. Lafay is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Swift is controlling him well. Swift lands some shots froms side control. Swift really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lafay. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Swift decides to stand back up. Lafay wants to clinch and Swift counters by clinching up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lafay taking a breather. Swift has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lafay is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Lafay gets underhooks to prevent Swift's takedown attempt.
Lafay is looking to control Swift's arms but Swift gets an underhook and turns him. Now Lafay has his back to the cage. Lafay tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Swift just stands there and leans against the cage. Swift tries to score a body lock takedown but Lafay shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Swift can't get the takedown.

This has been an exciting period of action! Swift trying to control the position from guard on top but Lafay is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Swift thows a big elbow that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lafay is trying to trip Swift. He has hold of a leg but Swift is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lafay persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lafay trying to control but Swift is working from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Swift can do anything to dispel that myth. Swift is working an open guard so Lafay takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Swift fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Maurice Lafay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roger Swift. Lafay throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Swift looks up at the clock and then as Lafay takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Swift smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Swift is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Lafay has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Lafay! Swift wants to sweep but no luck. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lafay wants to control from the top but Swift keeps moving. Swift is trying to keep Lafay in close.

Lafay breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lafay. Swift throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lafay's waist but Lafay gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Swift off to one side. Maurice Lafay is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Some wild striking there from Lafay.
Swift tries to close the distance and clinch but Lafay swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lafay rushes Swift and presses him up against the cage. Swift misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Lafay.
Lafay has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Swift uses from the top position. Lafay trying to control the position.

Swift trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Maurice Lafay has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Swift stopping the sweep attempt from Lafay. Swift postures up in Lafay's guard and throws a big left but Lafay blocks it. Roger Swift is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Lafay will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Let's bang! troop has Johnson up against the cage in a clinch.

Franklin is rocked! Franklin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Angel pinned against the cage. Angel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Franklin is still on wobbly legs! Can Angel finish him? Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Angel closes the distance and lands a one-two. Franklin fails to land the takedown. Angel lands with a right that hurts Franklin. Franklin looks to clinch but Angel throws a short knee that drops Franklin. This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faber feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Faber tries to free his leg and advance position but Ludovic is retaining full guard. Ludovic pushes Faber off and gets back to his feet.
Ludovic misses with a takedown attempt and Faber decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ludovic's guard. Faber is posturing up here but Ludovic has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Faber tries to roll out but it's too tight and Faber has to tap! Slick submission there by Ludovic!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Pierre avoids a punch combination nicely.
St Pierre darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Lonestar really is a fat lump. Lonestar trying to control from the bottom.
Lonestar is controlling St Pierre's position as best he can from this difficult position. Lonestar is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of St Pierre's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take St Pierre's back! Lonestar gets his hands free as St Pierre looks to control. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. St Pierre turns into Lonestar and is now in his guard.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. St Pierre not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. That was a close second round but I would say that Junior Lonestar will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A head kick by Lonestar misses and St Pierre counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Lonestar has a closed guard, preventing St Pierre from standing up. John St Pierre has got the better of the ground game so far. St Pierre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lonestar swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Junior Lonestar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lonestar fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but St Pierre avoids it really well and circles away. St Pierre throws a nice looking combination but Lonestar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. John St Pierre has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Junior Lonestar is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Lonestar looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Lonestar's corner is telling him to maintain position.
