The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evil with a poor takedown and Harty counters with a left and a right that stings Evil. Evil scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Evil controlling the pace. This has been an exciting period of action!
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sauron Evil wasn't active enough on the ground. Evil has a takedown stuffed. Harty stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Harty wants it to stay on the feet. Jack Harty has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sauron Evil.

Harty has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Harty might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Harty tries to break free but Evil pushes him back against the cage. Harty is trying to force a seperation but Evil has the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Evil tightens his grip and picks Harty up, before dumping him to the ground. Harty manages to land in guard. Evil won't allow Harty to get back to his feet. Evil stays in close to Harty's body and controls the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Evil shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A momentary lapse in concentration from Evil enables Harty to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Evil manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Harty postures up in Evil's guard and throws a big left but Evil blocks it. Harty pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Evil is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harty wants to stand but Evil is controlling his posture from full guard. Evil wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Harty throws a big elbow that misses. Evil had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Harty defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Evil not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Harty drops back looking for a leg! Evil is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Evil manages to kick Harty off! Harty jumps back into Evil's guard. Evil is trying to keep Harty in close.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Harty. I think Evil has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Manto won't be happy with that. Manto wants to control but Doobney postures up. Manto is looking to reverse the position. Manto sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Manto is not content to let Doobney control the position. Manto wants to get back to full guard. Manto is doing well to control the position and prevent Doobney from advancing to side control. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Manto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Doobney throws a nice looking combination but Manto bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Doobney looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Manto tries to get to full guard but Doobney has control of the leg. Manto is looking to control Doobney's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Manto avoid being mounted? Doobney wants to free his trapped foot but Manto is holding on for dear life with his legs. Manto wants to get back to full guard. Manto is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Doobney seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Manto does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Manto is positioning himself well to prevent Doobney advancing to mount.

Manto is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Doobney tries to free his leg and advance position but Manto is retaining full guard. Manto wants to sweep here but Doobney controlling him for the moment. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kyle throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Fujichrome tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kyle is in Fujichrome's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Kyle wants to pass the guard but Fujichrome is keeping the position. Kyle must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Fujichrome is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kyle defends well. Fujichrome is looking to sinch up a triangle. Kyle throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Fujichrome's body to avoid the submission. Fujichrome has instead reached around Kyle's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Fujichrome arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Desantis tries to keep at a distance but Zangief has taken the fight into the clinch. Zangief pulls guard effortlessly. Desantis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Zangief working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Desantis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Desantis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Zangief is trying to control the position but Desantis postures up. Desantis has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Zangief is proving hard to escape from. Desantis stands and steps away. Zangief gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Zangief thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Desantis if he has to take too many more of those.
