Stefansson shoots in for a takedown but Beucher shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rolla takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Malapitan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Malapitan throws a nice looking combination but Rolla bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rolla tries to clinch up but Malapitan circles away and keeps his distance.

and Malapitan counters with a single leg into guard. Rolla didn't expect that.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Malapitan stops Rolla from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Malapitan passes into half guard.
Rolla tries to get to full guard but Malapitan has control of the leg.

Malapitan decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Rolla moves in looking to clinch but Malapitan pushes him off.

and Malapitan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Malapitan.
Rolla wants to stand but Malapitan is controlling the position.

Rolla wants to sweep but no luck.
Malapitan landing with the ground and pound.

Rolla manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rolla is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Malapitan has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Rolla has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Malapitan taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Rolla doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Wilhelm lands with an overhand left.

It looks like Trent Morgan has been cut.
Morgan takes a swing at Wilhelm's ribcage but misses.
Wilhelm keeps the fight on the outside.
Morgan tries a head kick but it misses.
Wilhelm misses with a double jab.
Morgan dodges the punch combination from Wilhelm.
Morgan lands a jab to Wilhelm's midsection.
Wilhelm connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Morgan's hands.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wilhelm takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Wilhelm walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Morgan drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Wilhelm swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Morgan's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
