The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Henrique darts in and clinches Snow up against the cage.
Snow tries to break the clinch but Henrique is controlling the position.

Henrique escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Snow rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Henrique moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Snow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Henrique as he jumps to the side.

Laiho is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Palme flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Palme is out cold! Laiho holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Citlali throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Schoonover bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Schoonover thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Citlali prevents Schoonover from moving into mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Citlali is not content to let Schoonover control the position.

Schoonover is trying to get an arm triangle but Citlali is defending well.

A lull in the action here as Schoonover stalls from top position.
Schoonover tries to move into full mount but can't pass Citlali's legs.

Schoonover thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Citlali is trying to control Schoonover's posture but Schoonover avoids it.

Schoonover laying and praying for a moment but Citlali takes advantage and regains half guard.
Citlali is trying to maintain the position but Schoonover is very close to passing his half guard.

Schoonover manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Citlali on his heels. He'll look to pass Citlali's guard now, I'm sure.
Citlali knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Schoonover on the ground.
Schoonover stops Citlali from standing up.
Schoonover is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Schoonover is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Citlali is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Citlali has escaped and now he's on top!
Schoonover wants to control the position but Citlali says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Citlali stalling away here and it's allowed Schoonover to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Schoonover has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Citlali doesn't defend quickly enough and Schoonover has managed to lock this one up! Can Citlali escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Schoonover on a fantastic submission victory.

Julius Schoonover decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
