Quatro Teenth told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Teenth misses with a straight left. Teenth clinches up with Sproule and pushes him back against the cage. Knees to the body from Teenth.
Teenth keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Sproule's efforts to push away. Teenth just leaning against Sproule, taking a breather. Teenth landing knees to the head.

It looks like James Sproule has been cut. Sproule is breathing heavily. Teenth lands a knee to the head.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Deacon thows a leg kick but Hawkins checks it and Hawkins counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Deacon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hawkins defends it easily. Hawkins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Deacon looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hawkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Deacon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Hawkins loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hawkins wants to pass the guard but Deacon is keeping the position. Hawkins pushes down on Deacon's leg and manages to get into half guard. Deacon trying to hold on to Hawkins's head to control him but Hawkins postures up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Deacon throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Hawkins throws a nice inside leg kick. Deacon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hawkins. Deacon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hawkins.
Hawkins tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Deacon paws at him with a jab and circles away. Deacon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Hawkins throws a head kick but Deacon moves out of range.
Hawkins slips under a jab. Hawkins closes the distance and clinches. Deacon is working for takedown but Hawkins is calmly controlling the position for now. Hawkins creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Deacon throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hawkins creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Deacon's defenses. Deacon is trying to pull guard but Hawkins has him pressed against the cage. Hawkins working Deacon over with knees to the body. Deacon is trying to pull guard but Hawkins turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bishop Deacon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hawkins lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Deacon lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hawkins backwards. Deacon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hawkins pulls his leg out and moves away.
Deacon throws a hook but Hawkins blocks it. Deacon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hawkins moves in looking to clinch but Deacon pushes him off. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hawkins closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Deacon quickly recovers to half guard. Hawkins throwing shots but Deacon is blocking nicely. Deacon wants to improve his position but Hawkins is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hawkins shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hawkins showed some decent athleticism there. Hawkins is trying to control the action in half guard but Deacon is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Deacon is looking to control Hawkins's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Deacon avoid being mounted? Deacon tries to roll over but Hawkins keeps him under control. Deacon slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Hawkins postures up.

Deacon is staying active underneath Hawkins, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Hawkins throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hawkins is just content to waste time from the top position. Deacon takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Deacon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hawkins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hawkins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Deacon is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saukko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jaa. Jaa scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Jaa chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Saukko lands a nice hook to Jaa's body. Jaa takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Jaa misses with the combination.

Jaa tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Jaa takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. A head kick misses from Jaa. Saukko moves out of range of the body kick. Jaa darts in trying to clinch and Saukko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Saukko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jaa moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A head kick misses from Saukko. Saukko throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jaa's head. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jaa. Saukko lands a leg kick that knocks Jaa off balance momentarily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jaa misses with a kick to the body.

A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Saukko throws a combination. Jaa tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Jaa throws a head kick that misses. A nice inside leg kick there by Jaa. That's going to slow Saukko down. A head kick misses from Jaa. Saukko throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jaa wants to clinch up but Saukko keeps it at a distance. Saukko scores with a hook to the body. Jaa takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Nice body punch from Jaa. A looping hook to the body misses from Saukko. Jaa does a little dance to reset his feet. Jaa lands with a thumping leg kick.

Saukko scores with a one two! Jaa had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Saukko uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jaa has time to react. A clash of legs there as Saukko blocks the low kick. Jaa tries to clinch up. Saukko lands a nice hook to Jaa's body. Jaa takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Saukko chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jaa can pounce on him.
A left lands for Jaa. Saukko is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Jaa misses with a low kick. Jaa checks a leg kick. Jaa throws a sloppy head kick and Saukko moves out of range easily. Saukko waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jaa. Saukko throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Jaa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jaa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jaa throws a jab but it's blocked by Saukko. Jaa swings for the body but Saukko moves out of range.

Saukko stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jaa. Saukko takes one to the side of the head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jaa connects with a body shot that sends Saukko's belly button to the back. Saukko works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Jaa ducks under a wild hook from Saukko. Saukko catches Jaa with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Jaa throws a head kick that misses and Jaa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Per Saukko will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burns does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Hughes takes a swing at Burns's ribcage but misses. Burns throws a head kick but Hughes moves out of range.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pineda throws a head kick that misses. Cook checks a low kick from Pineda. Pineda throws a quick inside leg kick. Cook fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pineda manages to avoid it. Pineda throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Pineda fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cook has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Pineda connects with a leg kick. Cook looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Pineda shoots in and drives through. Cook sprawls well. Cook throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pineda on the side of the head.
It looks like Sigfredo Pineda has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cook gets in close and instigates a clinch. Pineda throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Cook blocks it with crossed arms. Cook takes a knee to the side of the body. Pineda lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Chris Cook has been cut. Cook tries to work over Pineda's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Pineda misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Cook.

Sigfredo Pineda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pineda on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Pineda ducks under a wild hook from Cook. A looping hook to the body misses from Cook. Pineda does a little dance to reset his feet. Pineda throws a leg kick but Cook checks it. Pineda moves out of range as Cook strikes. Pineda misses with a head kick.

Cook dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cook throws a good cross that connects.
Cook feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Pineda sprawling to the canvas! Pineda rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cook finish him?!
The cut above Sigfredo Pineda's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Pineda takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Cook has cracked Pineda with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Cook lands another huge swinging hook and Pineda tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Pineda, before Cook can land any more shots!
