Young falls off balance throwing a combination
and Medranda counters with a head kick. That will keep Young thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Young gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Medranda connects with a good right hand that stumbles Young. Young circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Medranda throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Young.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Medranda makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Young really felt that one!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Young crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Medranda - the referee stops the clock and Young gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Medranda. Young manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Gracie has instead reached around Lucas's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gracie arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

After the fight, Matt Gracie was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Corey Wright had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 207.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Corey Wright looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Santos holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
