3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Boom Pow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Neo Angin! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pow moves into the clinch. Pow wants a takedown but no success here.
Angin gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Angin wants to work for an arm triangle but Pow is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Angin seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Angin gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Angin fails to land the takedown. Angin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Angin scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A head kick from Angin lands but Pow takes it in his stride. Angin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pow pinned against the cage. Pow gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pow shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Pow throws a right and a left that both miss. Angin shoots and misses and Pow counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Angin's guard now. Boom Pow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Neo Angin. Angin is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Pow rolls with it to try and escape but Angin cranks on the arm and Pow is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bowser takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Bowser clinches up against the cage. Michaels wants to get back to striking at distance but Bowser won't allow it.

Bowser throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Bowser unloads a knee to the mid-section. Michaels lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Michaels managing to block the knees to the body from Bowser.
Bowser has Michaels pressed against the cage, preventing Michaels from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Still in the clinch, Bowser scores with a nice short uppercut. Bowser with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Bowser pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Bowser gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michaels wants to break free but Bowser has control.
A frustrated look appears on Michaels's face as he tries to break the clinch. Bowser lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Michaels backwards. Michaels has had enough of the clinch but Bowser keeps him there for the moment. Bowser digs a right hand into Michaels's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Michaels's gas tank. Bowser lands a knee to the body.

It looks like Chez Michaels has been cut. Bowser stalls. Knees in the clinch landing for Bowser.

Bowser pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Bowser tries to work over Michaels's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Michaels is trying to force a seperation but Bowser has the dominant position. Bowser lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Michaels backwards. This has been an exciting period of action! Michaels being controlled against the cage. Bowser lands with a left to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Michaels avoids the elbow strike from Bowser, against the cage.
Bowser can't find room to land a body shot as Michaels controls the action.
Michaels is trying to push Bowser away but Bowser has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Michaels takes a shot to the head.
Michaels is rocked! Bowser has Michaels pressed against the cage. He pushes Michaels back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Bowser throws a beautiful elbow that sends Michaels crashing to the floor! Bowser piles on the pressure with more strikes! Michaels is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wayde Bowser! Wayde Bowser decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Martha misses. Badger goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Martha connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Martha, right into the meat.
Martha throws a right and a left that Badger avoids nicely. Badger slips a jab and a cross from Martha.
Martha tries to land a front kick but Badger steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Badger takes a shot right to the bread basket. Badger throws a hook but Martha blocks it. Martha gets off balance looking for a body kick and Badger counters with a two punch combo. Badger blocks the body kick.

and Martha counters with a nice uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Badger lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. A slow jab from Badger misses its intended target. Martha misses with a jab, cross combination.
Martha throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martha displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Badger throws out the jab. Badger uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Martha.

Martha moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Martha moves out of range of the strikes. Martha ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Badger moves away. Martha slips a straight right by Badger. Badger blocks the body kick.

Martha bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Badger misses with a straight right. Badger's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Badger duly obliges.
It looks like Tino Martha has been cut. Martha lands a jab to the nose. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Martha swings widly with a right hand
and Badger counters with a nice leg kick. Martha throws a head kick that Badger semi-blocks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Badger moves into range and clinches up with Martha. Martha letting Badger take a breather here. Badger with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Martha is trying to break the clinch but Badger has him pressed against the cage. Badger pushes Martha back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Badger. Badger lands on the inside with an uppercut. Badger lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Martha manages to break the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Martha connects with a single shot there. Martha swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Badger connects with a right hand. Martha shakes it off. Martha goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Badger moves out of range as Martha strikes. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Badger swings for the body but Martha moves out of range.

Martha pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Martha lands with a shot to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tino Martha will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Tino Martha's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Martha lands a nice looking kick to the body. Badger takes a step back to recover. Martha shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Tino Martha is winning the standup battle so far. Martha lands a body shot.
Martha is looking to land body kicks. Badger throws a leg kick that is checked and Martha counters with a straight right hand. Martha tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Badger throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Martha digs a good hook to Badger's body.

Badger is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Badger glances at the clock... BAM! Martha nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Badger crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Badger is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takeda keeps the fight on the outside. Dutch tries to close the distance and clinch up but Takeda swats him away and circles back towards the center. Takeda moves away from the strike by Dutch. The fighters circle momentarily. Takeda darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Takeda moves out of range of the strikes. Dutch throws a right hand that misses
so Takeda counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Takeda throwing strikes from guard but Dutch blocks nicely. Takeda in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Dutch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dutch tries to get out of the position. Takeda throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dutch works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Takeda lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Takeda is stalling in the full guard. Takeda trying to control but Dutch is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takeda throws a big elbow that misses. Dutch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takeda on the ground. Takeda stands and throws Dutch's legs to the side, diving into side control. Takeda has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Dutch! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Takeda thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Takeda looking to finish with strikes here!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Takeda controlling from the full mount. Takeda goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Dutch turns into him and now he's in Takeda's guard.

Dutch leaves Takeda with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Dutch throws a hook but Takeda blocks it. Takeda misses with an uppercut. Dutch saw that one coming. Dark Dutch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Takeda dodges the punch combination from Dutch.
Dutch closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Dutch misses with a shot to the kidneys.

We're back to striking at a distance. Dark Dutch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Katsuo Takeda. A combination from Dutch does no damage. Dutch throws the left hand but Takeda avoids the punch easily. A swing and a miss from Dutch. Dutch misses with a body shot.
Takeda is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Dutch. Dutch tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Takeda paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dutch tries a low kick but Takeda avoids it. Takeda thuds his right hand into Dutch's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takeda needs to keep his hands up - Dutch had a free shot at his head there. Takeda scores with a nice head shot. Dutch lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dutch looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Dutch throws a low kick but Takeda moves out of range easily. Takeda shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dutch as he avoids it easily. Dutch fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Dutch takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Dutch gets a clinch. A short right from Dutch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dutch tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Takeda avoids it. With the fighters up against the cage, Dutch throws an elbow but misses. Takeda changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dutch fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dutch lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Dark Dutch is winning the standup battle so far. Takeda checks a leg kick nicely. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Takeda shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dutch as he avoids it easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dutch swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Takeda counters with a nice uppercut. Nice body punch from Dutch. Takeda shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Takeda counters with a left to the body. Dutch throws a push kick but Takeda slaps the foot to one side. Dutch pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

No, Dutch has managed to get both his arms back between Takeda's legs - danger averted. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
