The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Psina takes one on the button.
Greco takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Both fighters circling a little - Psina finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Greco avoids the head kick by Psina.

Greco feints and as Psina raises his hands in defense, Greco changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Psina wants to stand up but Greco is controlling him.

De Ertu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but De Ertu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

De Ertu fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Smith to the ground. De Ertu is now in Smith's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Smith is trying to control the position from the bottom.
De Ertu slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

De Ertu gets to his feet. Smith looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
De Ertu lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Thomas kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Lunatic Fringe by Red Ryder. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
