3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Julio Quintana! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jonathan Paton and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quintana shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jones misses with a head kick.
Jones takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Quintana throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jones tests Quintana's chin there with a solid looking shot. Quintana avoids the head kick by Jones.
Jones takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Nice body punch from Quintana.

Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Quintana fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jones to the ground. Quintana is now in Jones's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Quintana doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Quintana manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Quintana trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mick Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
And that's the end of the fight! Julio Quintana comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Quintana has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circle momentarily. Makritsky darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Makritsky attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Gaggle is looking to clinch but Makritsky is avoiding it.

Gaggle ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gaggle no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Gaggle keeping moving, preventing Makritsky from controlling successfully. Makritsky is really struggling to control Gaggle but he's trying to hold on to the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Makritsky controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Makritsky scores with a body shot.
Makritsky circles away from the clinch attempt and Makritsky counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gaggle on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Makritsky feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gaggle sprawling to the canvas! Gaggle rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Makritsky finish him?!
Gaggle is rocked! Makritsky batters Gaggle with a massive right followed by a huge left! Gaggle is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Makritsky lands a final crushing right hand to drop Gaggle to the mat with a gruesome thud! Makritsky is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kowski with a poor takedown enabling Miles to counter with a crisp jab. Kowski tries for a takedown but Miles sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Miles leaves Kowski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gronk Kowski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miles defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kowski. Kowski dives in and grabs Miles's left leg, looking for a takedown. Miles pushes down on Kowski's head and hops out. Nice cross by Miles. Kowski misses with a takedown attempt and Miles counters with a series of strikes. Kowski will be more careful next time no doubt. This has been an exciting period of action! Miles fails to land with a series of punches.
Miles lands a left and a right that send Kowski crashing to the mat, dazed. Miles thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Simmons. Jackson swings for the body but Simmons moves out of range.

Jackson throws a nice looking combination but Simmons bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Both fighters circling a little - Jackson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Jackson lands with a hook. Simmons tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Jackson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Simmons will feel that in the morning. Jackson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Simmons on the side of the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! It looks like Curtis Jackson has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Simmons takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Simmons fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jackson manages to avoid it. Jackson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Simmons lands a big right hand that sends Jackson crashing to the mat! Simmons stays standing though and waves Jackson back to his feet! Simmons drops Jackson with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Jackson! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A cross from Dayz lands. Dayz misses with a low kick. Pintor fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Pintor keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dayz throws a low kick but Pintor avoids it. Dayz throws a nice looking combination but Pintor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Pintor uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dayz.

Pintor tests Dayz's chin there with a solid looking shot. Dayz tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Pintor is able to avoid easily. Dayz thows a left - swing and a miss!

Dayz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pintor looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Pintor will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Dayz slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Knight lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ronan's sensitive parts. Knight tries to clinch up but Ronan circles away and keeps his distance. Ronan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Knight. That did some damage! Elvis Ronan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knight throws a big shot that misses. Jab, jab by Knight - just one landing. Knight slips a jab from Ronan. Ronan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Knight moves away. Ronan throws a looping overhand right but Knight ducks down to avoid it. Ronan fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Knight throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ronan throws a jab but it's blocked by Knight. Knight wants to clinch. Knight uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ronan. Ronan ducks under a wild hook from Knight. Knight wants to clinch up but Ronan keeps it at a distance. Ronan swings for the body but Knight moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knight takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Knight connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Milton Knight is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Knight misses with a double jab.
Ronan misses with a double jab.
Ronan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A low kick from Ronan misses and Knight counters with a right hand to the body. Knight digs a good hook to Ronan's body.
Knight comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Ronan thows a body shot but no joy. Knight fails with an attempt to clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action! Knight tests Ronan's chin there with a solid looking shot. Ronan swinging wildly here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Knight moves into the clinch successfully.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Milton Knight. Well Knight has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
